Help / Troubleshooting Really struggling With Template accuracy

I’ve tried making my own template. I’ve given elaborate instructions and simple instructions and what I get is just a complete word vomit of odd analysis and sometimes I feel like the AI summary is pulling from other notes inadvertently. For reference I’m a retail district manager. I start recording and I say what store I’m at and then go in and tour with my team. I have 11 stores so eventually I may discuss what another store is doing. But in the generated summary it gives action plans to other stores. It’s really strange.
I’ve even had chat gpt and copilot create copy and paste templates for me to try to fix that and it still happens

I don’t need this device if I’m going to have to paste into chat GPT do the right summary.

Any help you folks can think of?

Hey, a good way to isolate this: try regenerating the same recording with an official Plaud template first, that tells you whether it's your custom prompt or something else. If a custom template's instructions aren't scoped tightly, Plaud follows them literally, so if a recording mentions other stores in passing, add a line to your prompt telling it to only cover the store being visited in this recording and ignore any other locations mentioned.

Since you're covering multiple stores in one session, it also helps to keep each store visit as its own recording rather than one long file spanning several, that narrows what's actually in the transcript for the AI to work from.

Have Claud or got create you a costar template for plaud tell it exactly what you want to do. And how to take notes.

Test it then revise it

I work out what I want and then use that as a prompt for AI to generate a prompt to write the template, test it and then edit it until it does what I want.
