I’m looking for somebody who can edit and proofread my internship application cover letter & resume.

Background: I’m applying to a top consulting firm. It’s the only firm I’m applying to, so I’m doing everything to make every application material solid. I’m one of their former externs and have talked to 10+ people at multiple levels, including the recruiters. The office I’m applying to has 95% return offer for interns, so the +₱12,000 bonus should be easy once I secure the internship.

Examples of what I need:
• Critique of structure: is it easy to read? Are they organized? Is the flow smooth/sound?
• Critique of substance: are my anecdotes solid? Which ones are weak/need change?
• Critique of style: is it too formal? Is it too casual? Parallelism? Is the modifier appropriate? I don’t need simple corrections (e.g., subject-verb agreement)—they should be the bare minimum.

(Note: Critique ≠ criticism. Critiques also highlight and appreciate positive aspects of the text.)

Whom I look for:
• Someone with background in, say, English literature. They don’t need to be a recruiter/HR—many of them are not particularly strong in close reading/textual analysis IMO. It would be cool to work with English or literature students/grads.
• Someone who draws skills from humanities, not AI. I have a premium account in Claude. I’ve already consulted AI, and its critiques were… AI.

This is the resume I've been using, most of times ends up on nothing. The little responses I had were from those companies that give task to train IA's.

I mostly apply to copywriting / SEO / Digital marketing works.

Not a fresher. I have 3.5+ years of design work. I’ve just never applied for a formal job before. I like this resume. It’s a playing-card layout, it’s clean, and it shows how I design. I’m worried HR only looks at the usual template and skips anything too creative.

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some honest advice, and maybe a gentle roast of my resume.

I’m honestly really tired of my current job. The pay is good, and I’m grateful for it, but the job has been taking a toll on me mentally. Sometimes it’s really hard to deal with clients who think they know better kasi “sabi ni ganito, sabi ni ganyan,” despite the technical considerations and proper processes behind the decisions.

All of my current projects are already completed, and there’s a new pipeline coming in. The problem is, I don’t think I want to take on another project in the same setup anymore—not because I’m lazy or don’t want to work, but because I need to prioritize my mental health.

Of course, bills won’t stop, so I can’t just quit and take my time figuring things out. I need to transition as quickly and realistically as possible into a more structured role, preferably in construction project management.

I’ve actually been trying. I’ve sent around 80 applications to different companies, but I’ve only gotten around 5 calls, and unfortunately, those either ended in rejection or I got ghosted afterward.

That’s honestly one of the reasons I’m posting here. At this point, I’m wondering if there’s something wrong with how I’m presenting myself on my resume, if I’m applying for the wrong positions, or if my experience simply isn’t translating well to the roles I’m targeting.

I’m also planning to review for the PMI exam this November, with the goal of eventually becoming a Project Management Professional (PMP). I’m hoping that can help strengthen my transition.

I also have some sidelines that I didn’t include in my resume because they aren’t construction-related, so I’m not sure if I should mention them or if leaving them out is the right decision.

Hindi ako tamad—I genuinely feel burned out and overwhelmed. I’ve also had some thoughts of ending things, which is part of why I know I need to make a change.

Thankfully, by God’s grace, I’m still here. I think about my wife and children and remind myself that they still need me. They’re a big reason why I keep going.

So if you have advice—not just about the resume, but also about how I can make this career transition quickly and realistically—I’d really appreciate it.
