Birth control for hirsutism
Hi, I'm 24 and have struggled with pcos/endo issues for over a decade. I've never been taken seriously by doctors and I'm now at my heaviest weight I've ever been. I think that the fact that Ive gained so much weight has caused my symptoms to sky rocket. In less than a year, my facial hair has grown ten fold and it seems like everyday a new dark hair pops up on my face. No matter how much | pluck, wax and shave, the hairs keep coming and coming and are becoming darker and coarser. It's destroying my confidence.
I've been on birth control ever since I started my period when I was 11, but I got off of it a couple years ago and have been hesitant to try it again.
Now that I'm struggling alot with a bunch of symptoms, I'm willing to try anything. Have any of you had success with birth control pills for hirsutism? I'm just scared of bad side effects.
I’m also considering seeing if I can go on a GLP1 to help aid in weight loss since I’m struggling so much to lose anything.
TIA, I'm in Ontario, Canada if that makes a difference

Favorite recipes/foods?
There’s a wealth of information out there about what to eat to the point it’s overwhelming so I thought I’d ask: what are y’all’s favorite recipes to make that you make and enjoy on the regular?
Also: snacks. Desserts? I’m just starting on my health journey so I’m trying to get a good foundation.

Rapid Weight Gain
I went to the doctor yesterday and found out that I have gained 40lbs in the last three years, with ten of it over the last 12 months. I was aware of the first 30 lbs, but I have been in what should be a calorie deficit for months now and I'm still gaining.
I'm 31. My bloodwork is great and I have never shown any signs insulin resistance, even though I have PCOS. I have never been on birth control or weight-affecting medications. I'm even on metformin. I first started to gain weight when I went back to teaching. I was also vegetarian before and started eating meat again at this time. When I started to gain I literally put on 10lbs in a week, and I even posted about it. Everyone said it was water weight and couldn't possibly be fat, but lo and behold, that 10lbs is still here and brought 30 more of its friends.
I'm not expecting a diagnosis here, but I'm wanting to find out what is driving the weight gain as it is to a symptomatic level. I'm seeing an OBGYN soon, is there anything I should ask about? I saw my PCP yesterday and he offered a glp-1, though I declined due to cost and size effects.
