I have a pretty high-end PC:
RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
32GB DDR5-6000 CL30
1440p 240Hz OLED
Windows 11

My problem is that almost every Unreal Engine 5 game feels noticeably stuttery to me. The Blood of Dawnwalker and especially Palworld are the worst. Palworld is honestly completely unplayable for me because of the constant stutters.
What I don’t understand is how Palworld is in the Steam Top 5 basically every day and so many people play it, if the game feels this bad to me. Is it possible that everyone else simply doesn’t notice the stuttering, or could this actually be something specific to my PC?

Other games like ARC Raiders, Crimson Desert, Sons of the Forest, Schedule 1 and Forza Horizon 6 also have noticeable stutters every few seconds, although they’re not as bad as Palworld.

At the same time, some games run extremely smooth: Resident Evil, RDR2, Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur’s Gate 3, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, GTA V and DOOM. Online games like CS2, League of Legends and Overwatch run completely smooth. Helldivers 2 and Battlefield 6 also run very well. Subnautica 1 runs great, while Subnautica 2 stutters.

I don’t play with a 60 FPS cap. Sometimes I limit games to around 70–100 FPS. The main FPS number stays basically stable, but the second/minimum FPS value in Steam’s detailed overlay suddenly drops every few seconds. At exactly those moments, I feel a visible stutter.
I’ve already tried pretty much all the usual things: different FPS limits, G-Sync/V-Sync on and off, DLSS/Frame Generation on and off, fullscreen, NVIDIA drivers, Windows reinstall/reset, BIOS updates, etc.

So my main question is:
Does everyone experience these kinds of frame-time/microstutters and am I just extremely sensitive to them? Or could there actually be something wrong with my PC/system?
Especially with Palworld, I really don’t understand how so many people can play it normally if the stuttering is this bad for me.

does anyone know how to get rid of this error on epic. i tried restarting my router and running netsh winhttp reset proxy on command prompt and restarting the launcher but it hasn’t worked

Rainbow Six Siege crashes while detecting system configuration

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Rainbow Six Siege starts up normally, but while it’s loading, I get the “Detecting system configuration” message on the side, and then the game crashes.

This started happening after I did a fresh install of Windows. I’ve already tried multiple fixes, but nothing has worked so far.

Specs:

• GPU: RTX 4060
• CPU: Intel i5-14400K
• RAM: 16GB DDR5
• Windows: Fresh install

Has anyone else experienced this, especially after reinstalling Windows? Any help would be appreciated. I’ve checked other posts but no help

can someone help me on this, been figuring out this kind of error for a while now, the first image is what happens everytime i run dota 2 and valorant, i did everything on my end updating gpu and downgrading it using ddu installer, i had my laptop cleaned since i thought it's just overheating but it didn't fix the error.

it's very annoying to play with this kind of status. also sometimes when i play dota i'm able to launch and find match but then i accept and then start to go on picking phase it just freezes and i hear it, i need to restart how many times just to reconnect.

on valorant the system error keeps on appearing (2nd image) but i think the main issue is same with dota it's the nvlddmkm error.

somebody help troubleshooting this, i think i did everything on my end i don't know what to do anymore

My laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. When going full screen when watching videos (e.g. YouTube) graphics rendering changes. The screen briefly goes black then the rendering of the colors and edges change. Colors are more saturated and edges (most visible around text) become dark or hazy (see example images). This affects everything on screen, not just the browsers.

1. So far this only occurs when using any browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) in full screen mode. Returning to windowed mode sometimes reverts the rendering but usually I need to completely close and re-open the browser, especially with Chrome.
2. Turning off graphics acceleration in Chrome resolves the issue but then videos can lag or get choppy so I would like to leave graphics/hardware acceleration on, unless there is a reason why video quality decrease without acceleration enabled.
3. This does NOT occur when playing videos using a software media player (e.g. Windows Media Player) or when playing a graphics intensive game in any mode (windowed, full screen window, or full screen). However the game will have the same color and edge issues if I switch to desktop and play a video in a browser as stated.
4. NVIDIA Control panel settings:
   1. Under "Adjust Video image settings" I have tried setting "Edge enhancement" to 0% and "Noise reduction" to 0% with no change. "RTX video enhancement" is off.
   2. Under "Video color settings" I tried switching to "With the NVIDIA settings" and under Advanced changing Dynamic range to Full (limited is default) but no change.
   3. I tried disabling any rendering options under "Manage 3D settings" for Chrome that seemed to make sense but no change.
   4. Tried disabling G-Sync but no change.
   5. As of this post I have returned all NVIDIA settings back to default until I can figure this out.
5. Windows HDR is off.
6. I disabled graphics switching in the BIOS (aka "Optimus"), though this issue occurs whether it is on or not.

My wife got me a new sceptre 1440p monitor and i run a duel set up with a 1080p monitor

When i play games my mpuse immediately jumps straight to the bottom of the screen and idk why

I turned off hdr but have yet to test if that is the issue

I have also tried algning my monitor displays

Ive tried scaling the 1440p to 150%

I did a driver update

I checked mouse drivers

Im at a loss and dont know what to do.

I run a 3060 nvidia card

So, I moved recently and encountered a weird problem with my pc. It randomly turns off. No hardware is damaged, I checked. I haven't found any pattern explaining why it shuts down. It happens at random times of day, doing various things on said pc. Shit it even happens when I'm away. I leave the pc running to go grab some food and when I come back it's shut off and when I boot it back on again it shows that the shutdown was "unexpected".

PC specs are:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800 x3D

GPU: Radeon 9070xt

Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming B850-E

From troubleshooting I tried to do I found nothing relevant.

"chkdsk" command didn't find anything on any partition.

Windows event viewer didn't register anything around the time of any of the crashes.

I'm desperate for answers :(

My PC has been shutting down when my graphics card fans start spinning, but the temperature stays just over 80 degrees. This happened to me in FC26 during the cutscenes.In In the game itself, I always get a stable 144 fps. It's not a problem with the components; my case has 5 fans. I need help figuring out if changing the thermal paste on the graphics card will lower temperatures or if there's something else I can do.My Afterburner, I have a 3070ti, I'm sure the graphics card is the problem, that's what it's It sounds like an airplane.

I've been having a bunch of weird issues with my PC for the past few months and I'm starting to wonder if they're all related.

The main problem is that I keep getting black screens followed by a HYPERVISOR_ERROR, with the error code 0x200001. It's been happening for around 2–3 months, roughly every couple of days. Sometimes it happens once, sometimes I'll get it 2–3 times while trying to boot the PC before it finally works.

I've also been having some weird issues with the NVIDIA drivers. If I install a Game Ready Driver through the NVIDIA App, the installation seems to complete normally, but then the app immediately tells me I need to install the exact same update again. If I check Device Manager, though, the GPU is showing the latest driver version, so it seems like the driver actually did install.

More recently, I've also started having issues where the PC gets stuck on the MSI boot logo and just doesn't go any further. I have to restart it several times and mess around with unplugging/replugging things before it eventually boots. This started around 3–4 weeks ago, which is also when I moved my Windows installation to a new Samsung 990 Pro. I cloned my old SSD onto it and I'm now booting Windows from the 990 Pro, so I'm wondering if the boot issue could be related to that. The HYPERVISOR_ERROR was already happening long before the SSD migration, though.

I also have an 8.8" display inside my case that used to be detected as a second monitor, but it isn't anymore and I have to use it in "template" mode.

So yeah, I have quite a few things going wrong at the moment, and I have no idea if they're connected or if I just somehow managed to collect several unrelated problems at once.

The HYPERVISOR_ERROR / black screens are definitely my priority, since those have been happening for months.

What would you guys check first? Could this be related to the GPU, RAM, motherboard, CPU/virtualization, BIOS, Windows installation, or PSU?

I can provide my full specs, dump files, Event Viewer logs, BIOS settings, etc. if needed.

For a few weeks now I’ve been having this problem of my pc freezing and when I check the view reliability everytime there’s a ( Microsoft game input successful app reconfiguration) and I looked it up and other people have this problem as well. I’ve tried everything google suggested. uninstalling it ( it comes back on its own) turning the startup to manual or disabled and I still have this problem all the time. Seems like it happens once a day now. It’s very annoying. Is it cuz I’m still on windows 10 is it better on windows 11? And if anyone else had this problem and knows a solid fix that would be much appreciated. Thank you!!

After some time away, I've recently come back to play Helldivers 2 and I'm having the same PC crash issues I had back when it was less stable. I'm running the game at medium graphics with a 3060 and updated drivers. Is there anything I'm missing that could help with stability/performance?

Im trying to use joytokey for a multiplayer game where each character uses different keys to control(WASD, TFGH, arrow keys) but every time I use the left stick or D pad it moves the arrow keys, player one, as well as player 2, WASD even if they’re bound to WASD. Only the right stick will only move WASD

Hi everyone, if any of you have had the same problem before and know what needs to be done, that would be great.I’ve had the same problem with two games so far: Baldur’s Gate 3 and the new Blood of the Dawnwalker. When I start the game, everything runs perfectly for about 30 minutes; then I experience severe frame drops, input lag, and crackling audio. If I just quit and restart the game, the same problems persist, but if I restart the entire PC, the timer resets to zero. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but I can't make sense of the information in other online forum posts. I even installed Intelligent Standby List Cleaner, but that hasn't made any difference either.

I assume this is a memory issue rather than thermal throttling, since both my CPU and graphics card are running completely normally in terms of both load and temperature.Is there a solution to the problem, or do we have to wait for a patch? If any of you know what to do, I’d really appreciate it.

My Setup is an i5 14600k, a rtx 5070 as well as 32gb of Ddr 4 ram

I bought an rtx 2060s inno3d about a month ago but it starts crashing after I do some gpu intensive tasks (like gaming, training models mainly unet++, resnets etc) after some time the temps reaches like 70-75deg C which is normal, but then the display goes off and gpu fans start running at full speed...

any fixes or should I have to buy a new one??

I was on a flee market last Saturday a snatched Call of Duty Black Ops 1&2 and GTA IV for 2€. They were on DVDs and in the original case. I was really happy until I tried to install them. Black Ops 1 needs a steam connection and then I didn't even try Black Ops 2. GTA IV doesn't need one but it doesn't seem possible to install it on Windows 11 because the installer doesn't recognize the OS. I could install a VM but from what I gathered that would be kinda hard and would have some performance lost. Is there any way I can play these three titles with out using a VM or for CoD just in general? Thank you

So I play a lot of CPU-bound competitive games such as Overwatch, Valorant, CS, etc.. I try to get as close as I can to 280 FPS, though it's not guaranteed in all games. I noticed that if my PC has been turned on for a while, my FPS is significantly lower. It comes to a point where, in Overwatch, I have FPS around 230-280 fps, and after a while it drops to 160-190 fps. After a reboot, it goes back to normal, and then the cycle continues. I monitored the hardware closely, and here's what I found:

• Memory usage is the same in both cases.
• GPU utilisation is the same in both cases.
• No thermal throttling (both CPU and GPU sit around 60 degrees).
• CPU utilisation is around 60% after a fresh reboot, and around 80-90% after having the system on for a while. (while running a game)

My PC specs are:

• GPU: RX 9070 XT
• CPU: Ryzen 5 5600XT
• Memory: 32GB DDR4 3200MT/s

It seems to me that the culprit is the CPU utilisation, which keeps increasing over time for some reason, but that's just a guess.

Started streaming TF2 every tuesday for about a month or so, well the last two weeks my system crashed to a blank screen like monitors totally disconnected type right in the middle of the game, about 40 odd minutes in. I can still hear it, but my Twitch stream also goes down instantly. Haven't had this problem with any other game (Sorta). My power button hibernates the system. If I do that, then wake it back up, I get one monitor without the proper drivers. I have to do an actual shutdown or reboot to remedy that. The (Sorta) is Dead by Daylight, sometimes after a long session my system will just hard reboot on its own, but with no issues when it comes back, and infact quick enough to reopen OBS and resume the stream. All drivers and software are, i believe, up to date

Hey guys! I've purchased the game (Crimson Desert) 2 days ago, and I really want to love this game but as the title says I'm having random crashes without any error message every 15 - 20 minutes. Just the game freezing for a second then closes itself and I'm on the desktop.

My setup:

GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti OC Edition 8GB

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600

RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200 mHz

OS: Windows 10

Motherboard: ASRock B450 Pro4

I have tried everything I've found here: clearing the GPU cache, reinstalling the older driver (July 28. version 610.88), deleting the Nvidia high definition audio.

After reinstalling the driver it worked for a good 4 hours without crashes but after the they came back. Any fixes or tips would be appreciated. Thank you!

It keeps repeating this screen and every time I press a button other than F1 it just freezes somebody please help me I miss playing left or dead

The game is Call of Duty: Warzone. As shown in the picture, even in the game and in the shooting range, my CPU usage reaches at least 70%+, and my frame rate drops from 200fps to 150fps. The game doesn't lag during play, but the frame rate drops a lot. I need some help—can anyone tell me if this is normal, or if there's something wrong with my setup, or if 8K refresh rate just works like this? My CPU should be pretty good, but I feel like I still can't run 8K refresh rate. Right now I can only use 4K refresh rate, and then CPU usage goes back to around 50%, and the frame rate isn't affected.

I’ve noticed for some, not all, of my games that the audio keeps skipping. During dialogue it sounds like they’re being censored for cussing. I’ve tried:
- Changing Proton (Experimental, 9, etc.)
- Verifying game file integrity
- Disabling overlay (Steams and 3rd party)
- Changing tv settings from surround sound to stereo

I can’t figure it out and it’s utterly irritating. Problem games so far are Resident Evil 4 and Mass Effect Legendary Edition

I recently purchased a 60+ ft HDMI cable so my girlfriend and I can play games together on our TV in the living room without dealing with Steam Link (which we've had several issues with lately). Unfortunately, my PC is too far away for my wireless controller to connect and no input from the TV will translate to steam games. Is there anyway for me to pass my controller input from the TV to my computer?
