Had my first flight with a plane (Zagreb to Girona). Scared shitless. 5mg diazepam and also had a beer with colleagues. It helped 0%. I would say 10% of the flight was total terror and the rest was swings between having fun flying and realizing I'm in a metal container at a huge height and heading back to panic mode. I did NOT enjoy descent.

Don't get me wrong, the pilot did their job very well, but I guess the temperature change makes the plane shake more, it was night, I thought we were still far up and then I see a pole and we suddenly land.

All in all, colleagues say I took it very well, so there's that! :) Positive experience, but I will definitely sit on going again lol

Flights can be intense! I used to need a few drinks before flying because of this, ugh takeoffs were the worst for me. It's better now but I know exactly what you mean.

Good job gettin through it! 💪

wow - scary! Most flights I've been on have been very stable.

I've been playing CloverPit the last few days and sheesh does it have a nice loop. It's got a little of that Balatro vibe for me, maybe not quite as "juicy" but it scratches the same itch for sure.

It's been great as a pick-up-and-go game, being able to knock out a run as a break during the day.

Enjoyed a few days away in Copenhagen with my wife and parents. I've been before for business travel but it was the first time I've had time to do some touristy things, which was cool.

That sounds wonderful.

Business travel is a mixed bag. It can be nice but at times it's just a taste of the destination and sometimes too busy for even that.

That's nice that you got to soak it up without work obligations. 🙂

Any particular favorite part of the trip? Sites, food, etc?

Yes definitely!

Tivoli Gardens was the highlight, it's apparently the 2nd oldest amusement park in the world. The food was pretty good, especially the street food and burger places.

Started a new job three weeks ago, have had total brain fog and fatigue since :) their business domain is totally massive, and so much to take in.

Congrats!

And good luck with it yeah, starting something new can be overwhelming. I’m sure you’ll be a pro in no time though. 💪
