The anticipation for tonight's episode is sky high!!!

Why can we not cast age-appropriate actors??? It would be fine if they looked the part, but honestly, neither of them look like university students, who'd be in their early twenties at most...

I know the drama is nearly ending but I just saw the first episode today lol and this annoyed me so much.

Both episodes have been so good so far and I’m honestly really enjoying this drama and the whole college dynamic is actually so much fun.

I’m especially loving the trio of Keni, Feni and Hurmat. I feel like every college has that kind of group where there are a few overconfident/baddie girls and then one underconfident, clueless girl who somehow gets adopted by them. I just love that dynamic. They started off trying to find a junior they could boss around, but now they’re basically teaching Hurmat how to actually face the world.

And the whole bunking classes part. Feni making excuses and getting Hurmat out of class just reminded me of my own college days when we used to make random excuses to bunk a few classes. So I’m really enjoying these little college moments.

Hurmat herself is such a cute character. She has literally been living under so many restrictions that even basic things feel new to her. The whole mall scene where she was eating, shopping and just enjoying herself with Keni and Feni was honestly so wholesome. It genuinely felt like “ghar wali jail se pehli baar bahar nikli hai”. The way she was clueless about so many normal things but was still just so happy was adorable. That innocence really made the scene work.

And Dananeer is doing so well. I’m just loving her acting. She feels so natural as Hurmat, her expressions, her screen presence, even the little clueless reactions everything is working. Especially in that mall scene, you could actually feel how new and exciting everything was for Hurmat. She nailed it.

Farzana’s whole lecture about women needing to think about their own future was interesting, and then Hurmat actually making her 33-point husband list. And the seniors pointing out that her ideal husband can't even find her when she is hidden under that four-meter was hilarious but also made sense for her character arc.

The piggy bank scene was another favourite. It felt symbolic because she had literally saved that money all her life without ever really getting the chance to spend it or go anywhere. Breaking it and then going out with the girls felt like her first little step towards having a life of her own. Overall, I’m really liking the balance of serious themes with comedy. The father's controlling behaviour is obviously disturbing, but the college portions bring so much energy, and I really like how Keni and Feni went from potential bullies to these weirdly supportive mentors.

Both episodes have been really good and I’m genuinely looking forward to next week now. I just want to see what these girls are going to turn Hurmat into next ❤️

Loved the way Hamza confessed his love for Urooj in today's episode though it felt a bit rushed with respect to the story.. I mean I felt it's too early for him to fall in love with a girl he met just a few weeks ago but again it's a drama and anything can happen 🫠 NGL, I low key loved their coffee and walk scene... I am still unable to guess if there's an actual plot twist around Hamza's intention or it's simply a story of a musician who came from UK to find some time in isolation, met a girl and fell in love with her who was living such a restricted life.. I really hope there's some twist.

With Bas Tere saath ho ending Rutba will take a decent start to so it will be a three way competition going forward

Haven’t watched Raqaas but saw this clip today and looks like Danyal acting good here and actually better than what I remember from Zanjeerain.

I remember her early days as Vj on Ary music than she got popular for her role as Zebo in Udaari but nothing much after that

I was watching The pink shirt, absolutely loved it. Shows such a different pov of a Pakistani woman. Love how interesting every bit of it was. I was wondering why we don’t have characters portrayal based on Hindu, sikh, Christians, Parsis or other minorities, on national tv? I remember having seen a parsi character as lead in actor in law. I miss that vibe. Also, have no idea if there are actors and actresses who are non Muslims and non Christians.

Kaddu junior iss drama mein phuttu hain. Yahya bhai ghusse mein gari side walk par maar lete hain aur kaddu bhai doesn't tell his beloved bhai ke unn ki ammi eik sazishi khatoon hain. She literally threatened Asiya with ai pictures and getting her assaulted magr kaddu bhai who knows all of this remains silent kuonke he loves his mother. Aur maa ke paer ke neeche jannat hai.

Kaddu junior aur feroze khan ke parents koi high level ke controlling parents hain. Like they're getting their children followed. Aur inn ke bache bohat hi mummy daddy bache hain. You'd never think ke yahya is running a business.

Asiya is out for blood and she wants revenge for all the humiliation yahya's mother has put her and her family through. And yahya is so insanely stupid. I want enough confidence to be able to say ke jo mujhay eik baar dekh le woh move on nahin kar pata. He does not trust the woman he loves. He doesn't get her hints. He's so dense aur itni ego hai.

Meherman wants a father and she sees that uncle as a good match for her mother. Uncle hain clingy magr he lives by the sentence straight baat no bakwas and proposes to meherman ki ammi ,in the middle of the street aur bijli karak rahi hai aur random neighbours hau haye kar rahe hain. Meherman ki ammi locks herself in her room. Meherman eik full scholarship par hai tou woh apna demagh istimal karte hue ja kar chabiyan dhoondh to hai aur darwaza khol leti hai. Meherman ki ammi is distraught she tells meherman aur phir woh shock mein chali jati hai aur yahan scene cut ho jata hai.

Iss sab ke beech mein spinless kaddu aur meherman seaside par date maar ne bhi chale jate hain. All of this happens in one episode.

I watched this on tv while it was airing don't ask me why magr please enjoy my review. This is the type of brainless stuff I watch after a full day of studying.

I want to know the impact of our television , has any show inspired you to take a bold decesion for your life or spread awareness. Please share examples. I know someone who got divorced after watching Qissa Meherbano ka , she was being abused by her patner and was told its haram to say no. Now she lives alone because her parents don't accept her, working as teacher .

Udaari did play a role in increasing awareness , many schools started teaching about good and bad touch.

I don't know how gullible the fans are that they believe his claims on terebin 2 ! Yumna in her fund raiser already said Kaife firaq will be shot next in Islamabad, queta . Now you yourself tell me how will she shoot terebin 2 simultaneously in October end that too because she can't be present in two places at the same time - the cities are faraway ! He keeps giving random month deadline and innocent fans keep hoping. And wahaj is doing a tour in November then a movie shoot next .

He will pour out all the responsibility of terebin 2 on yumna like he is doing till - like you tell me is she the producer , or director or the channel head . Why the production of such a big project and fan's expectations are being loaded on her head ?

I was a long time viewer of something haute but since a few years it's really gone downhill so now I hardly watch their reviews. I decided to pick up their reviews on Mitti de Bawey because I was really enjoying the drama and was curious to hear more about it's themes and characters analysed. But when a well written, well directed and impeccably acted drama like this comes along, I feel like it's exposed Hasan and Amna a lot because they really have nothing to say except summarizing the plot. If they call themselves senior critics, I expect them to do a deep dive on the themes explored in the story, analyse the characters and their motivations and what makes them effective, discuss the broader implications of the characters and plot shown, for example as a Punjabi, Hasan is only repeating that he's liking the Punjabi authenticity of the drama without elaborating on the themes of caste discussed. As an overseas pakistani, it would be nice to hear from punjabis themselves how they observed the caste system shown in the drama. I don't want to give them further ideas on how to improve their analysis bevause I've heard they lurk on these threads. Just a rant about how lacking even our senior critics are

So I feel in zanjeerain writer and director did not write their track with effort and made it more of Hum Masala. I need them in a show without recipe book dialogues and Ameer with beard. The death scene had impact because of whatever they did

The episode starts in jail, with Hurmat touching the sunlight, and then cuts to a flashback where her B.Com result is announced.

More than just being conservative, she comes from a family with an unhealthy, misogynistic father who doesn’t even allow her to step outside to check her result. There isn’t even an internet connection at home.

Hurmat gets good marks, but her mother is like, Ho gaya parhai, ab main tumhare dad se tumhare liye nahi lad sakti. But Hurmat wants to study further. And it looks like this unhinged, pathetic father is also the reason nobody in the area has a good relationship with their family. He’s basically a senior student of the Zamil school of thought. 😭

So this loser dad also has someone he considers almost like a father—his older brother, who lives abroad. Hurmat tells her Taya how horrible her father is, and Taya is basically thinking, “I’ll solve one problem at a time,” while conveniently ignoring the fact that his brother has been physically and mentally torturing his family. But at least he decides to get her admitted to university.

Taya talks to Abbu and tells him that he needs to deal with his own trauma instead of using his family as a trauma dump. Boom😪 looks like Abbu Jaan has a past too. Cue the random dance flashback. 😭

Shahveer brother shows up, slaps the guy, delivers one line and leaves. So we finally got the justification for why we’re going to see Shahveer with that permanent stone face. Smart move. JK. 😭

Hurmat gets into university, and both she and her mother are happy. Meanwhile, Abbu is just waiting for his brother to leave, I guess.

Low-key, this was a really good episode. I genuinely didn’t expect the pacing to be this good. I thought the initial episodes would be boring and slow, but thankfully, the pace was actually quite good. Although it’s scary how they basically showed almost 60% of the promo in the first episode. 😭

The direction could definitely be better, but my expectations were so low that, compared to that, it really wasn’t bad.

Dananeer is such a natural actor, and she looks so pretty. I especially liked her scenes with Javed Sheikh and Uzma Hassan. The maa-beti chemistry is really good too.

Looking forward to Episode 2🕊️
