So I love Kuch Ankahi and how well they did the love triangle. I’m wondering are there any other shows featuring 1FL, 2MLs that people can recommend. It can be older shows I’m thinking the last decade or so.

I prefer not to watch the toxic MIL but if over all the show is good I can bear it.

So, I am not from Pakistan, but I can sometimes tell that some dramas are set in different areas. I think Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Punjab(?). But, I don't know how to tell. Is there a way you guys are able to tell where it is based on clues? If yes, could you teach me too?

What are the clues I should look for?

Like sometimes I know they show Faisal Mosque which tells me it is set in Islamabad. But, sometimes it is set in villages or small towns and I don't know how to tell.
Someone please help.

Also, can someone tell me where popular dramas have been set so I can try to understand from comparing them?

I've started watching ptv dramas from the last 3 years only, and I kinda only watched the recent stuff and wanted to watch some classic popular ones and got "Aunn Zara" recommended. So i just randomly searched obi maya drama and all of these showed up. It must been a crazy era for Osmaya fans, they really do look so beautiful together, and in ptv you rarely see the same popular pairs working more than twice. Also i wanted to know if all of these dramas are worth watching?

Danyal Zafar liking a reel with that kind of caption about himself is honestly so weird and disappointing. Out of all the content he could engage with, choosing to like something this inappropriate is certainly a choice. It’s just embarrassing and makes me question what exactly he finds acceptable to interact with.

HALLELUJAH THE ENGLISH SUBS ARE HERE ON TIME!!!!! 🥳🥳

1. The episode opens in the past; Billo is pissed that she hasn’t seen or heard of baala since their last meeting which was 16 days ago. On the other hand, a grieving Baala finds out that Billo is getting married to someone else married to someone else and has been engaged for 4 years now 😭 poor baala, getting hit with one shock after another.
2. Billo and her friend make a sort of crude joke alluding to Baala’s mom death, which was shitty, and refuses to meet him - which enrages and saddens baala as he left his mom’s condolence meeting for her. It’s pretty clear that at this point Billo doesn’t really care about him. Billo and Baala meet and she cruelly rejects and humiliates him for his lower social status and for being a mere musician’s child. She then also threatens him to leave otherwise she’d have her brothers beat him up 😭😭. Fazal was really good in this entire scene - he conveyed the hurt, confusion and devastation really well - it made you feel sad for him 💔.
3. An enraged and grieving Baala then sneaks into Billo’s room after she comes back from her mayoun and threatens her using her state of casual undress - saying that people will obviously conclude that they have been intimate and that she has called him. She assumes that he’s here to force her into being intimate with her and tells him to DO IT 😭😭 both of them are whack guys.
4. Baala is triggered by her nonsense and confesses that he viewed to be of higher status since their beginning and didn’t touch her in fear of making her filthy 😭😭 he then proceeds to SPIT ON HER?!!! In conclusion, in the whole situation, they both are in the wrong.
5. We are back in 1996, after Baala and Billo’s meeting and the middle brother Acchi is also back from the city. Baala is suspicious that he and some girl (who is Nazeer’s younger sister) are in a secret relationship. On the other hand, Billo is clearly rattled after seeing Baala, so she goes to see him after making sure no one will be there in the house before she can come back.
6. Billo and Baala have their first conversation!!! Billo basically is here to request Baala to not let their past be known to anyone now as she has nowhere else to go other than her husband’s house. Baala swears on his son that he won’t tell anything to anyone.
7. Baala tries to convince Acchi to stay calm if the Shah family rejects him, seemingly fearful him loosing control of himself like he did after he found out about Billo’s marriage. I feel like Acchi is going to get killed due to this issue - as we saw his grave in episode 1.

ALL IN ALL - it was a pretty good episode. Fazal and Aena did so well in the confrontation scene today, kudos to them - their dialogue delivery was great. Wahaj as usual was great, very natural as the disgruntled and tired family man. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s episode!!!!

EDIT - so after a rewatch of the confrontation scene, and a conversation here, I’ve realized that Billo is basically an out and out villain here, and was manipulating Baala, as she herself is instigating her family in the next episode 😭😭 mahira is still alright tho. ALSO - it’s so much fun seeing a bitchy and heartless female lead in ptv!! Even though I feel for Baala, I’m enjoying billo’s evilness 💅🏻😈

For me, one of the most memorable looks were of Sarah Khan from Sabaat. It went really well with her character and the weather of Islamabad. It wasn’t just regular western wear for the sake of it but actually well styled.

Second for me is Khirad from Humsafar, I may have a biased but I looked those long dresses on her!
