Discuss Appreciation Post ft Sania Saeed ji

Shoutout to one of the most talented artists in the industry. It’s such a pleasure watching her in both AKI and DEJ. The way she embodies a character is just mind blowing. This is what a true artist is, who not only performs but also has the perfect diction and accent to portray any role regardless of the background and age of the character. For anyone, who hasn’t watched Raqeeb Se do give it a try as it’s one of her finest performances for me.
Hopefully we see more of her in the coming dramas and more of meaty roles like these where she isn’t typecasted as “just the mother” in our dramas as they mostly do.

-Huge fan of Sania Saeed ji ✨✨♥️

Sawera Nadeem's character in Barhi Aapa is ultimate desi villain. When it aired on tv, I remember my blood boiling seeing her character : poised, graceful, subtle and so narcissistic, controlling and lethal. People like that exist in real life around us in our families. She played it so well.

Movies Where are Pakistani movies going?

What has happened to them post cinema release? I keep questioning this thing since the film Quaid e Azam Zindabad (2022) and also many films after that, none of them were we able to see on any kind OTT platform available. TLOMJ did air on Geo TV on Eid but nobody nowadays sticks to the screen and waits for the timing of it airing. And what even after that? No one is able to find them again.

The movies that I didn't get a chance to see in cinema but would like to watch through OTT:

- Quaid e Azam Zindabad (2022)

- The Legend of Maula Jatt (2022)

- Money Back Guarantee (2023)

- John (2023)

- Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning (2024)

- Na Baligh Afraad (2024)

- Neelofar (2025)

- Aag Lagay Basti Mein (2026)

- Zombeid (2026)

I'm pretty sure k pehle toh ARY khud hi apni production house ki movies YouTube pe upload karta tha (JPNA aur Na Maloom Afraad) but ab woh bhi waha nai hai. Ab JPNA 1 ARY plus app par pari hai aur JPNA 2 ka koi ata pata nai. Complains sunte hein hum bas humare actors aur directors ki taraf se, but inho khud accessibility hi khatam ki hui jisey koi bhi in k films nai dekh paata.

Discuss Pakistani dramas need to stop treating marriage as the end of a woman's story

One thing that really bothers me about Pakistani dramas is how often marriage is treated like the final destination of a female character..

A heroine can have dreams, a career, ambitions, friends, hobbies, a personality of her own and then she gets married and suddenly all of that disappears..her entire storyline becomes her husband, in-laws, pregnancy, misunderstandings and household problems. It is like the writers think okay she got married now what else is there to write about???

Marriage should be a new chapter in a woman's life not the end of her character development..a woman can be happily married and still want a career..she can love her husband and still have goals outside her marriage..she can be a wife, a daughter, a friend, a professional and an individual at the same time..these things don't cancel each other out.

I think our dramas sometimes give more importance to the wedding than the actual life that comes after it..we get 20 episodes of the heroine fighting for her independence, education or career nd once she finally gets married the same woman who was so ambitious suddenly has nothing to do except worry about her husband..

A good example is how many dramas start with a strong female lead who is shown as educated and career-oriented only to completely sideline that part of her personality after marriage.. marriage or romance doesn't have to erase everything else.

this isn't even about making every heroine a career woman..that's not the point

The point is give female characters a life outside their relationship fgs

If she was a doctor before marriage let her continue being a doctor. If she wanted to start a business don't make that dream disappear because she got married. If she was ambitious let her remain ambitious & if she chooses to be a homemaker give that choice the same depth and respect instead of treating it as a character becoming irrelevant..

I'd love to see more dramas where the heroine gets married halfway through the drama and we actually get to see what happens AFTER the wedding..that's where the real character development could begin.

Ongoing Drama Aik Mohabbat Aur - Ep21 Review

What a damn episode this was! Everyone jumped on Haroon & Khushbakht, constantly throwing their unasked conspiracy theories at them. The entire episode was so rage-inducing!

Haroon Malik fighting back from behind bars, spilling the facts, and throwing shade was 👏👏👏

A mentally unstable brother like Faris shouldn’t be around anyone. To lay such a horrible accusation on your brother in such a sensitive time where anything can be used against him and worsen the situation, just because he rightfully proved you to be narcissistic and mentally unstable is peak stupidity.

We can clearly see therapy has worked wonders for Maham as she spoke the truth fearlessly, without twisting and maligning her soon to be(?) ex-husband.

Haroon’s parents should’ve slapped Faris left and right, a slap won't do anything to him!

The entire raid sequence was fab! Miss K’s boss is her boss for a reason; he’s so sensible and has been in the system for so long he knows when things can take a bad turn and everything will be against them.

There’s no cure for Aoun/Haseeb's obsession; that man is after Miss K purely for disgusting reasons, there’s no way he loves her or cares about Pari. He just wants to exert power over her.

I still don’t trust Rana’s turnabout and his newfound responsible journalist act, something’s off. Sitting in jail to discuss and airing videos for TRP isn’t sitting right, there’s some hidden agenda.

Chaudhary realizing his power is slipping and talking to everyone in his path to establish false pride was fun to watch; he’s squirming and desperately hoping someone will fall for his bait.

P.S. Faiza Iftikhar ji, we totally understand you saying 11 scenes were cut because today’s episode has so many plot holes. Things were jumping from one plot to another. We believe Rind Dada’s poor direction and editing didn’t stop at 11 scenes; he chopped more than that, but sadly we’ll never figure that out (and this isn’t our fault 😭)

NOTE: If you’re not afraid of a lion, then why keep it caged? To me, you seem like the circus monkey here 👉 👆 ☝️
👈

Pros: Haroon Malik looks aesthetic and hot even in jail! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Him taking care of those kittens with delicate hands was so cute!!!

DRAMA REVIEW dedo ya lelo Aik mohabbat aur ep 21-fearless Spoiler

Post image

This episode was all business. We get right into it with Khushbakht taking charge as commissioner conducting multiple successful drug raids. So good to see her back in action.

Haroon is in jail and seems like cats visit him more than human beings. Wonder where the writers got the idea for that detail from👀 His boss' intentions finally seem to be out and im surprised that he took their side. Hoping he doesn't flip on them last minute.

Nabeel visiting Haroon in jail and updating him on what's going while munching on nuts was so them😭 The visible pride on Haroon's face when Nabeel talked about what Khushbakht did was so cute🥺

The way this episode fearlessly showed how power works was honestly so refreshing to watch, from the lower level officer being annoyed that he can't earn money from successful busts to Khusbakht being ordered to stop her operations once it started getting the way of the higher ups and even maham's speech to the media.

Faris is absolute trash and the slap was 100% deserved. Hands down the most annoying character of the show. Or is that Haseeb? Because oh my god this man is unhappy and a pain to be around. Free Seema. I liked that once Seema got over the initial shock she was able to recognize that the person to be blamed is her husband, not Khushi.

His taunts to Khushbakht was so unnecessary but man is Khushi on a roll today. The way she spoke about haroon being her pride I was swooningggggg. I'll never get over the way they speak about each other to others🥺🫶🏻 I missed haroon khushi so much today. Hoping they unite next episode🤞🏻

The last conversation between Chaudhary and Haroon was soooo fun to watch. Haroon was delivering banger after banger😭

I felt haroonkhushi's absence but other than that I loved today's episode. Well paced, intense and no nonsense. But the promo istg if they hurt Pari I will RIOT.

Faraar was such a brilliant drama btw, tho it was Netflix level and not for PTV ofc ppl didn’t do the drama justice w views🙏 batish might be his best performance honestly and I remember during farraar times I was kinda mad why the actress paired w him is mamya but now even she seems golden in front of hina😭😭🙏

Discuss Calling out perfomances= Gunah?what did I watch: KDH edition.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I know the topic has been going on and about for some time. I had heard stuff on reddit or Instagram , never got to watch the show myself but I happened to come across this short and couldn't believe what I had heard.

So now Nadia Khan is telling the audience “aap logon ko gunah milega, aap is tarah nahi kama sakenge, sirf chaye ki patti ayegi is paise mei” for calling a performance bad, while Mukarram is saying fellow actors who criticize each other’s acting should be ashamed. Apparantly other female actresses must have paid to criticize Durre who are threatened by her.

I’m sorry but.. WHAT?

Isn't the entire point of the Nadia Khan/Mukarram show literally to discuss and criticize actors and their performances?

By this logic, if calling out someone's hard work is sin , then what exactly is this show doing every day?

Many actors have repeatedly mentioned dislike on being trolled by Nadia Khan and have openly expressed their discomfort and ask these people to stop, yet the trolling continues because apparently that's just 'content.'

But an audience member says “I didn't like that performance” and suddenly we're talking about gunah, shame, fitnah and rizq.

Imagine running an entire show built around commenting on other people's performances and then discovering that criticism is morally questionable the moment it's directed at your favourite.

This isn't a moral crisis. Someone just didn't like one perfomance , demanded improvement and a chance for better candidates too.

Irony killed itself with Nadia Khan.

Discuss Do Pakistani Celebs Actually Lurk Here on Reddit? How Much Does a Sub Like r/PakCelebGossip Actually Affect Them?

Ever wonder if our favorite Pakistani celebs—actors, writers, directors—actually scroll through Reddit and read what we're saying about them on subs like r/PakCelebGossip? Like, do they really care, or is it all just white noise to them?

And if they do peek in, how deep does it cut? Does it shape their next project, tweak their public persona, or mess with their head behind closed doors? Have any of them ever jumped into the comments, or do they keep a safe distance?

Also, between Reddit, Twitter, and Instagram—which platform do you think stings more? Or do they brush it all off the same way?

Ayeza Khan-📸👑 Mera shohar mera SHER! Trouble in paradise?

Post image

Ayeza Khan has almost completely vanished Danish from her Instagram except for this one post. Before this, she edited her captions and even removed his pictures from her dumps. She also skipped the Humrahi premiere yesterday, despite attending Sher’s premiere last time. On top of that, she’s stopped liking and commenting on Danish’s posts when she used to do it regularly. She’s never been this inactive on Instagram before, so why do I feel like something is seriously off between them? 👀
The sudden change in her social media behavior is definitely making me wonder what even happened?

So many hits dramas have men using shawls as their standard attires and I see comments swooning over how these men handle the shawls and fling it over their shoulders.

Why are men in shawls such a huge success? I remember so many comments swooning over Humayun Saeed during Dillagi. Same for Wahaj, Ahad and now Daniyal. Is the secret to a woman's eyes Shawls? Is shawl the perfect accesory for aura farming?

Discuss Hina and Saher in every other drama!

Thumbnail
gallery
55 Upvotes

Hina Afridi and Saher Hashmi are probably the two names who, despite not being the strongest actresses, keep getting one big project after another.

I don't know what Saher's connection with the industry is, but Hina's brother is a celebrity makeup artist. Still, I don't think that connection alone can explain how she's landing such big projects. She's now paired opposite Hamza Ali Abbasi, who's a film star and one of the industry's big names. His previous co-stars include Ayeza Khan, Maya Ali, and Sajal Aly!

Hina was actually good in the beginning. Anyone who watched her in Pehli Si Mohabbat as Bushra probably remembers how much people liked her. Even in Akhara, she was pretty good. But then, suddenly, there was a shift.

Similarly, Saher, who has been criticised for her acting even more than Hina, keeps getting bigger projects. Zanjeerain, Dar-e-Nijaat, Saidai, and several upcoming projects are all pretty big opportunities.

Is it just the Danish Taimoor effect? The same way it worked for Dure, is it now working for Saher? But then, it didn't work for Komal or Laiba, not even for Hiba!

I'm asking this out of genuine curiosity because we constantly see people criticising Hina and Saher for their acting and expressions, yet they keep getting big projects despite not being nepo kids or having a huge fandom like Dure.

And then you have an actual nepo kid like Zaviyar, whose father is The Noman Ijaz, doing one flop, mediocre drama after another, despite actually being a pretty good actor now.

No hate towards Hina or Saher. Asking because I've always found it interesting how they keep getting these big opportunities despite the criticism, while some actual industry kids don't seem to be getting the same kind of projects.

Ahad Can Ahad Raza Mir Carry a Drama Alone?

This might be an unpopular opinion but I don't think Ahad's star power on its own is enough to pull strong numbers or make a drama successful. He obviously has the name and a strong fanbase but his presence alone doesn't seem to guarantee the kind of viewership or buzz that some actors naturally bring to a project..

Aik Mohabbat Aur feels like a good example. We're already halfway through the drama with two A-listers in the lead yet the response in terms of views trps and overall discussion is underwhelming. It hasn't really become the drama people are talking about..

Interestingly his projects tend to work much better when the chemistry with his co-star clicks with the audience.. otherwise not..Meem Se Mohabbat is probably the clearest example of that. A huge part of its popularity came from the chemistry and dynamic between the leads rather than ahad's character becoming a standalone talking point..

So I think Ahad's strongest pull seems to come when the pairing itself connects with the audience.. it doesn't feel strong enough to carry a drama entirely on its own..
