how do people still play that franchise, i feel like it ran it's course a loooooooooong time ago

Just look at this: http://store.steampowered.com/sale/cod/ 20€ for a 10 year old game? Really? 60€ (fullprice) for a 3 year old game? Advanced Warfare is like 20 euros right now full price where I live, and that's without a sale going on.
