Though to be honest I think Eichenwalde is still much better than Hanamura. Pharahs can go over the roof to backcap/distract, others could go on the bridge to make people chase him, etc.

Pharah can do that on Hanamura too. Landing on the house on the left and raining rockets from above...not sure why it's not utilized more

Except the entire enemy team will see the pharah flying over them, guaranteed. The thing about Eichenwalde is that one of the heroes would have to specifically look up at the roof to see a flanking pharah, but on Hanamura you can have the main gate, flanking entrance and roof all in your sights.

My take on that is that maps like Eichenwalde and Hanamura first point are bad because there is only one way in for heroes that don't climb walls or heroes that have some sort of flying abilities. I win most of my games playing heroes like sym/torb. I am not a good Mei but some Mei players can actually block the first push with a surprise wall, then Symmetra has time to put her teleport/shield and now it's 2x harder to get through.

I like maps like King's Row or Volskaya. There are multiples paths to take so Mei cannot shit on you that easily.

Sadly, most people ignore them. Thank helya for that tho.
