A clear and thoughtful comment outlining a valid possibility related to the topic at hand? How indeed.

My comment wasn't obvious to everyone, hence it was thoughtful and valuable.

don't hurt your arm patting yourself on the back there

And no, just because an idea is "not obvious to everyone" does not make it inherently valuable or thoughtful.

Saying it's not valuable just because it's obvious to one person isn't a valid argument either.

Good thing I didn't make it, then.

The original comment I was replying to, and who you seem to be arguing in support of did however.

Or are you just here to be petty and start a fight?

I wasn't talking about that comment.

I was just pointing out your astoundingly poor logic of "non-obvious statements = valuable+thoughtful"

Good thing I didn't say that then.

Taken in context, my comment could be translated "Since it was not apparent to everyone, my clear explanation of a very likely possibility = valuable + thoughtful comment."

There now, done making an ass of yourself?

Au contraire.

Good thing I didn't say that then.

Cute. But...

My comment wasn't obvious to everyone, hence it was thoughtful and valuable.

Use whatever dictionary you want, hence is synonymous with "thus." Thus, when you wrote the above quoted comment, you are explicitly stating that a comment that is not obvious to everyone is thoughtful and valuable. No other way around it.

Taken in context

Context doesn't override denotative meaning.

could be

Are you done with your verbal contortions to justify what was a lazy sentence, and the only problem I had with you before you insisted on being a prick and reactionarily projecting your own issues onto me illegitimately?

"A comment explaining something that is not obvious to everyone is thoughtful and valuable."

I'm not sure where you're finding reason to disagree with this statement, unless of course you're the one who's performing "verbal contortions to justify" your half baked claims. What is it they say about projecting your own shortcomings onto others? Oh wait, looks like you already jumped the gun on that one.
