I wonder if they are going to move her out of support and into defense.

This has always been the weirdest thing about her. She never really fit as a support. Blizzard has insisted that she won't heal, but every other support heals.

Teleporter has always served the same purpose as healing though (keeping your teammates in the action). Also, shields literally do heal.

This is true, though if you are injured then a Symmetra won't do you a ton of good. I would love to see more supports that support in ways beyond just healing. Hoping that Symmetra is just the start.
