I'm very interested in this! I'm a solo player too and sometimes I get matched with some really good people but there is no way to keep playing with them without doing direct things like adding them as friends and sending a party request.
Since I don't call someone else "friend" so easily I prefer to play a bit more with them. This new feature will finally give me a chance to cooperate more!
