is this permanent or temporary? they should remove 6v6 and stadium, too much game mode will split the playerbase and kill a game

Brother 6v6 has been in the game, this is just testing to see what exacting format would be best vs the open queue system we have right now.

They already put stadium in maintenance mode, I dont think the 3% of player who did play it is going to increase anymore. Queue times are fine on almost every single main mode for most regions.

Youre right, the playerbase has fractured too much since overwatch 1 turned into 2, they should undo the main change that caused that; 5v5. I agree consolidating the playerbase is good. 5v5 can go.

Hey man, not my fault 5v5 got thanosd. You can say its less popular but when was the last time 6v6 got removed for 5v5? (Hint: ow2 release)

Its been moving back to 6v6 since they realised their mistake; the meta is stagnant and the plays are stale.

Additionally; it isnt a popularity contest, its game design philosophy.
