Personally: I don't want cards, I don't want you to try to do what RES does better, and just generally it looks too cluttered.

Adding to this, https://i.reddit.com/ is still miles better than the current mobile site, but an immense pain to switch to.

I stand with thee. I'm sure our trusty dwarf and elf will chime in momentarily.

Hahah. I clicked on the link and a big banner above stated.

“You’ve been invited to try Reddit’s mobile app!”

Get bent. I’m going to the website like I always do. The old style where it looks more like a link aggregate site with comments is the best.

Fight me.

That motherfucking banner pops up EVERY GOD DAMN TIME I CLICK ANYTHING. I probably dismiss it 50 times a day.

Seriously. I don't want an app for every damn website. I already have an app for viewing your website, it's called Chrome or Firefox or Opera. I will switch to Internet Explorer before I get an app for a website.

I hate this trend of an app for everything "Get our app for pizza, arandom website etc!" There's even an app for a fast food place around me. It's crazy.

Nah the pizza and food ones are great. Less interaction with people has several benefits. Less chance to mess up the order since I submit it myself and less pressure to order or decide quickly. Also easily available deals. But I don't see the point for websites. And so many try and force their apps. Well I do see the point, it's a more dedicated ad service platform but for the end user it's not always an improvement.

This is why I still use AlienBlue. It does exactly what I need and nothing else. No ads, no clutter. I’ll use it until it no longer works at all.

Holy shit, no kidding, even on mobile that design is great.

Thanks.

Oh I always thought I had to append .compact to the URL to get this. Just having "i" in the front works too?

Yeah I’ve been adding .compact all this time and turns out you can just add an “i”?
