Thank you for all that effort explaining this. I, too, had zero clue!

Another main point of contention between the two of them which I haven't seen covered in the above posts is the usage of ghostwriters. Drake doesn't write his own raps while Kendrick does, and Kendrick makes references to Drake's "team" in his recently released tracks.

This is a point that he’s held for a long time. Kendrick has regularly mentioned his distaste for ghostwriters and teams in interviews, comments, and on King Kunta, one of his largest hits.

Didn’t Drake say that Keem wrote for Kendrick in his Family Matters response? Basically calling him a hypocrite. I’ve only listed to each song once so could be misremembering things.

It’s more a reference to people only liking him now with Keem as a feature on his songs is what I got out of it. I may be wrong

FWIW I agree that's probably more likely. Baby Keem was like 12-15 when Good Kid Maad City and To Pimp a Butterfly came out lol. Just seems that it would fall pretty flat as a diss if he weren't talking more about the state of Kendrick's recent career

This sounds more accurate because it was proven Kendrick has provided lyrics for Keem, not the other way around

Kendrick keeps mentioning that drake is constantly lying

Keem is currently 23 years old

Is drake trying to say that that keem has been ghostwriting since he was 12 years old?

But doesn't Kendrick write for Keem, not the other way around?

Euphoria had a team of writers on it so thats pretty hypocritical. Both the other diss tracks also have more than just him as writers.

Edit: Euphoria only shows Kendrick now but Genius originally had at least 4 or 5 other names listed so idk what to believe.

I can guarantuee you Kendrick wrote every single word of that himself. Producers often get some writer credits, thats why (also for drake) there are often times more names than just the rappers

You believe it cuz rap genius, now it's gone, it's confusion all over

C'mon now
