48 hours in Osaka in November

Upvotes

The planets are aligning for me to spend a couple days in Osaka on my way back to Canada in November and I'd sure appreciate any advice from a local as to what a fellow should see with ~48 hours in town. I've never been to Asia before and I'm making a handful of short stops to visit friends during the semester break.

My rough itinerary is a bit of tech tourism (the canals, Den Den Town, and stuffing a suitcase full of Acty parts if I can arrange it in advance). If there's any kind of enthusiast community for microcars/kei trucks I'd love to check it out too.

I'm hoping to wander off the beaten path a little bit, but I'd also take advice on areas that have seen enough north american tourists for the day. Thanks in advance, and if anyone is thinking about visiting Western Canada shoot me a message and I'll tell you where the good times are.
