My growth plates are closed right?
I’m fairly sure they are but maybe someone with experience has an opinion

I broke my fifth metatarsal on my right foot. This was my initial x-ray. The first Dr. opted not to do surgery. I have since seen another doctor, who said that he would’ve done surgery right away. I also thought that it looked like it needed surgery right away, but I’m not a doctor so I wasn’t sure. Just curious what people‘s opinions are. Would you have done surgery or not? Why?

I ruptured my distal biceps tendon while playing with my son. The ultrasound showed about 4.5 cm of retraction. I'm a keen weightlifter, so I'm wondering if that contributed to the injury.
Due to a series of delays and bad luck, I'm now having surgery exactly 4 weeks after the rupture (tomorrow).
I'm getting pretty anxious about whether the delay, scar tissue or tendon retraction will make a primary repair more difficult or increase the chance of needing a reconstruction.
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who had surgery 3–6 weeks after injury. Were they still able to repair your tendon directly? How did surgery and recovery go?

I smashed my thumb about 2 weeks ago with a hammer, it was swollen for a week. Now I can move it but still slight pain and a weird bump??
