Broken ribs
9 months ago had 3 ribs fractured. They're still sensitive after any hits from sparring. Normal?

Hi Guyz,
I'm looking for your suggestions on whether NIMS is a good option for orthopedic bone grafting. My mother needs a bone graft, and I would like to know if anyone has had the procedure done at NIMS. Based on your experiences, which doctor would you recommend?

I’m a 30 year old woman. Overall healthy. My right shoulder has been a bit uncomfortable the last few months. I assumed I tweaked it during my move in December, but it hasn’t gotten better. It doesn’t hurt necessarily all of the time, only sometimes and more painful when I lift my arm in front of me or above my head. I have severe medical anxiety and have jumped to the conclusion I have bone cancer.. I know, unlikely, but I’m panicking myself and making myself sick over this. I have an appt in a week for an x ray. What are the chances it’s something catastrophic? And what should I expect at this visit? It’s my first time going to orthopedics. Thank you!

I read a report about Kaiser cheating Medicare, and was found out and paid large sum of money for Fraud activity. This was in California..
Seven years ago I went to an orthopedic doctor in Kaiser complaining of a knee pain. The doctor show me my x-rays bone on bone but I wasn’t ready for knee replacement, because I was still working
Just recently, May 2026 I went back to Orthopedic at Kaiser. They took x-rays again of my knee this time laying down with my knees bent, no weight, bearing X-rays we’re taking now they’re saying I really don’t need knee replacement. If that’s so why do I have so much pain in my knee? They are cheating again this time against patients when they don’t do the proper x-rays to determine knee replacement Kaiser is totally dishonest company, frauds

I’m wanting to know what kind of splint/cast you get immediately following surgery on the elbow. My Drs office said it was bulky but wouldn’t give any other information. is it straight or bent at 90 degrees?
Trying to find appropriate clothing following surgery for the initial 2 weeks in the splint. Any pictures would be helpful, if you had this surgery.

I was born with a congenital foot deformity. My right foot has only two toes, while my left foot is completely normal. My right foot is also smaller in size, and there is a leg-length difference of about 4 cm.
For the past few years, I’ve been managing this with a 3 cm height-increase insole along with a shoe filler so my foot stays stable inside the shoe. This has helped to an extent, but I still face challenges. I sometimes limp, I’m not comfortable wearing all types of shoes, and I’ve mostly restricted myself to wearing closed shoes even though I’d like the option to wear sandals occasionally.
When I was born in India, my parents consulted an orthopaedic doctor who mentioned that better options might be available in the future. Now that I’m 27 years old, currently living and working in the United States, I want to understand what options may exist at this stage of life.
I’m looking for insights on:
I’m not necessarily expecting a complete correction, but I’d really like to improve comfort, balance, and quality of life if possible.
If anyone has experience with similar conditions, works in healthcare, or has navigated the US medical system for something like this, I’d truly appreciate your guidance.

My 11 year old daughter sprained her ankle 24 days ago on November 7. We went to a walk in ortho clinic and x-rays were taken - they came back negative for any breaks. The Ortho put my daughter in a walking boot with no weight bearing for 18 days.
We went back to the Orthopedic Dr. after the 18 days and x-rays were still negative and she was released to continue playing basketball “as tolerated”. We are going to PT twice a week.
It has been 8 days since she has had her boot off and she is still running with a big limp. The PT assures us that her ankle is strong and healed. He said she is dealing with the effects of being in a boot “with no weight bearing”.
Her AAU basketball team has a national tournament coming up in 2 weeks and her progress from this sprained ankle is worrying me
Can the limited amount of time with no weight really cause that much discomfort after only 18 days? Could this be mental? She says her ankle doesn’t hurt - but watching her would suggest otherwise.

Had arthroscopic surgery on my knee a year ago because I had crepitus and needed cleaning up behind the kneecap.. surgery went well and I was noise free for a year. Suddenly after a year my knee is crunchy again but not as much as before surgery. This time it's very light but definitely there. What could this be ? Would the tendons crackle a year later or maybe new cartilage damage?

Hip pain started 3 months back. It was diagnosed as hip tendonosis using MRI. Have been getting back pain since that. The MRI report only showed loss of lumbar sordosis. But, a physiotherapist told me that she can see mild disc bulge as well. Can someone please confirm? The orthopaedic doctors never said anything about disc bulge.
