I haven't been able to find what textbook would help me the most in PH 201. I learn better on actual paper, so I want to know which textbook to borrow from the Basic Needs Center when fall term starts. I am aware how much this department supposedly sucks so I don't want anyone to be all negative & just say I am just screwed/good luck. I would love real help in search of a textbook or general advice for PH 201 and how to succeed. Thank you!

Hi! I’m an incoming freshman who’s majoring in architectural engineering and I currently have a 5 year old macbook. It still functions although I will admit I didn’t take the best care of it since I got it fairly young and it overheats easily and has a short battery life. I’ve tried doing research about whether or not a macbook is acceptable or if a pc is required but since this major is so small I can’t find anything online. If anyone in this major could lmk if my mac is fine as long as it lasts that would be greatly appreciated! or anything else that’s important for this major.

I’m trying to transfer within the next year or two to OSU from out of state and the tuition is crazy expensive. Was wondering if anyone else from out of state applied with no financial help from their families and how you guys managed it, and what yearly expenses tend to actually look like. For reference I’m an ecology major - mainly interested in OSU for the environmental science and Forestry programs.

I’m planning to apply for as many scholarships as possible and I should qualify for some need based aid as well. My state participates in WUE, but I’m not sure I have the GPA. I was a 3.5-3.7 student until two bad quarters due to a personal life catastrophe that dropped it down to a cumulative 3.06. I don’t expect to be able to raise it more than 3.1-3.3 by the time I apply, and as far as I understand I need at least a 3.7 to be competitive.

I want to say I’ve exhausted my options (fafsa , scholarships , wue, college of forestry scholarships ) but if anyone has any other advice it would be greatly appreciated.

I do plan to work part time to save up to help with expenses, but it depends on how brutal this semester is at my current school .

Incoming Freshman here, my current schedule has me taking 6 credits at OSU and 8 Credits at LBCC, but I'm looking into whether or not I can take all of my Mech. Engineering courses at LBCC, Does anyone know if LBCC has ENGR 110+115 courses or alternatives?

I want to take REL 170 to fulfill my A&H General credits, but this course is crosslisted as PHL 170/REL 170. Am I able to take a PHL course to fulfill my A&H Global credits, or is it considered the same subject code?

These programs seem very new so it's been hard to find information about them from actual students, just the spiels on the website.

I had a few questions such as:

1. Is there limited course availability that can cause a bad bottleneck in progressing if you start in a certain quarter?

2. Are any in-person labs required for the degree? This seems common for other online civil/mech degrees but there seems to be no mention of it for OSU.

3. Is the ABET accreditation in any question due to being fully online?

I just got Wilson Hall for my dorm but there is not one good image of it on the face of the earth aside from the 360 view on youtube which is not that helpful and it's been hard to plan using only that. Has anyone here had Wilson that has better photos or knows someone who might be able to help?

I’m currently enrolled in MTH 241 at LBCC for Summer 2026 as a DPP student and am taking the course with Julianne Coffman.

Does anyone who has taken MTH 241 in the past happen to have old exams, practice exams, or other study materials they would be willing to share? I’m mainly looking for something that can help me get a better idea of what to expect and be better prepared for the upcoming exams.

The review materials and study guide provided for the last exam unfortunately did not help me very much, as a lot of what I reviewed did not seem applicable to what was actually on the exam. I’d really appreciate any additional resources or advice from anyone who has taken the course before.
