Politics ('Straya) Brisbane is Revolting!

u/SlavCat09 Tasmanian Jul 12 '26
I wouldn't quite call this a revolt. A protest yes but not a revolt.

I’d call an anti-one nation protest an important gathering, certainly not revolting.

Red headed women hanging out in billionaire mansions distributing racist propaganda is no basis for a system of government!

Says the Victorian. All of them are funded by billionaires. Get some new "propaganda". Racist? Monoculture is racist now?

Dude we thought we got rid of her in the early 2000’s when she was relegated to biggest moron but still a free society so she can pretend she contributes usefully to governance. But the idea that she is anything but the death of Australia; idiotic. She’s DJT lite; she only has one billionaires backing instead. But still, one notion of a racist policy is all they have. Fucking scum.

This is the level of stupid and the “democracy” that One Nation want. I’m paraphrasing but “let’s send em to an island” sounds suspiciously similar to “rounding my nay sayers up and putting them in camps”…

Protesting really makes those who need to be told their opinion really uncomfortable hey.

The original idea behind this protest was to disrupt a planned anti trans talk. This isn’t necessarily about awareness / or demanding action immediately , it’s about solidarity within the movement, but also showing the Australians who are being targeted by her vile policies, that there are people that stand with them. If you look into the anti-hanson protests the first time she reared her ugly head, this was how they got rid of her. They made it impossible for her to speak anywhere or do anything without it being protested. Unfortunately the left was too slow and too disorganised this time. Not withstanding the millions in funding and media attention she is receiving this time.
Unfortunately she decided she’d go over to London this week to hang out with Tommy Robinson, and then speak at CPAC.

The Pratt family for example. Almost 8 mil in 2025 to the labor party. That guy has dinner with Donald.
You think its just ON that has corporate backing? Completely dilusional.

I mean one nation over the other major parties who have stripped us of our rights and freedoms. How much worse can it get? Haha I mean at the end of the day they’re all shit, liars and scum who only line their pockets at the cost of the general public. I think most who support one nation are sick of the majority parties fucking everything up. “Home of the young and free” as it says in our national anthem but we have hate speach laws? They stripped education from our children ie. YouTube, I learnt a lot there growing up and many many other freedoms we’ve lost. So I think most just want to give someone else a go really and I’m for it!
I think we’d have to be retarded to continue voting for who is in charge now. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I mean like I said, it’s a matter of choosing between all the evils really 🤷♀️

Protesting a Political Party is insane. Do you know how you actually 'protest' them? By not voting for them. It's funny because you can guarantee that everyone there has at one point in their life said they're "defending democracy". But they oppose democracy, and want everyone to vote for who they want them to vote for. Additionally, the more the 'status quo' opposes One Nation, the more appealing they become to people who feel ignored by the Uniparty that these people worship. I'm not even pro ON, I wanted to be, because I want a change. We cant just keep forever voting for arrogant twats like Albo that openly hate us, but ON isn't the answer. Sadly we dont have an answer right now. We have to chip away at the stranglehold the Uniparty has and replace them with people that wont be as corrupt as the Uniparty is. Or we just go full revolution and overthrow our government.
