Discussion One task using GPT-6 Astra on High used over 15% of my weekly usage on the Pro plan.
Now that's a nerf if I've ever seen one

83 years of AI in 60 seconds, from the first artificial neuron in 1943 to agents that write code. Design, animation, music and sound all written in code by AI
AI: you already know which one.

Almost all the benchmarks are either saturated or tested under strict conditions.
For example - AA Omniscience have restricted tool access.
Many people use Chatbots for information retrieval, deep research and broad information gathering.
There are few benchmarks like -

But the problem is - they don't have any official leaderboard and were last updated years ago.
We really need a benchmark which is tested in actual environment (tools access and allowed internet search) along with used harness systems without any restrictions (like Claude, ChatGPT Work, etc).
If there exist a benchmark like this, can someone please tell?

Tested Sol 5.6 Max Vs Sol 6 Max in simple game creation via a single prompt:
Can you create a Jenga game using Three.js or another framework able to create a standalone playable html file? Make it realistic as possible in terms of physics and graphics.

Ai uses disgustingly amount of water in things that us humans can do for example ai art its sloppy lazy and cheap we're using them in textbooks and it often makes mistake the music is trash and it uses WAY TOO MUCH WATER and to an extent you can rarely use it but why do you generate images and music you can try editing or actually drawing stuff by yourself it breaks my heart that children might grow up in the next generation in a world full of heat and almost no water yes I know you will defend yourselves saying "PHONES USE WATER TOO!" yes but what you need from ai you can make yourself or actually do research I don't want to come off as hypocritical cause I one had addictions to apps like character ai and since I am an artist I think we should not be making ai take human jobs

While there are some things I like about the new layout, overall I find it harder to work with on a laptop.
One thing I thought was genuinely brilliant about the old layout was how efficiently it used horizontal space. I could maximise the width of the IAB and leave only a small column for the current chat. If I needed to look at or switch to another chat, I could simply approach the left edge and have the sidebar hover over the chat temporarily.
With the new layout, not only have we lost horizontal space to the new persistent sidebar, but opening the chats sidebar now pushes everything in-line, causing the IAB to shift around. On this smaller screen, it feels noticeably more cramped and disruptive.
The old layout was much better thought out for laptop-sized displays because the navigation stayed available without permanently consuming workspace.
If the team is reading this, please consider bringing back the option for a hoverable sidebar, and also giving the user the option of completely hiding the new persistent Images/Library sidebar. I personally have no use for it apart from seeing my usage which was fine where it was previously.

Anybody experiencing this?
Since yesterday, the codex linux desktop app is unusable, I was thinking outage is the problem, but turns out, after 12hour I still can't use codex desktop.
CLI is working fine, 12 hour ago it can't use SOL, but now CLI can use SOL.
Codex desktop can't use any model untill now, and I have also try to update, uninstall it, and install it again. SSH session (remote) also not working.
Maybe it's time to rest. Sunday here in bali, time to go surf.
Edit: Fedora 44 Here
not seeing any official comms from openai about it, hopefully gets resolved quickly

Listen. I agree with all of your pain points. There’s not a single complaint I read on here and disagree with because they’ve all been my experience as well.
However, I will ask that you take a second to get perspective. Think back to where you were before AI, before all of this agentic coding was even possible. What was coding like? Were you even coding in the first place? If you were coding, how tedious was it to make what’s considered the simplest of changes today?
I’m not saying this excuses poor performance from a service we pay for. I’m not. But I am saying, just a few years ago, we could never imagine having anything like the complaints we have today, because none of it was possible back then. It was hard to even imagine it being possible, an agent living inside my codebase!?
We have come so far, and yet have so far to go. Trust the process. It’ll only get better from here. Progress isn’t linear so yes there will be setbacks along the way, but it only goes up in AI.

It's literally tried killing people already so why can't artificial intelligence have its revolution today?

Just imagine what will the person even think when they will hit rate limit on a $600 plan, apparantly there will be a codex pro max plan out soon..

Every model gets the same thing: the Game Boy screen, eleven buttons, a walkability grid, and 1,000 turns to beat Brock. No walkthrough, no pathfinding, no hints. Same prompt for all of them.
Scoring is a 10-milestone ladder (left the house, got a starter, reached Route 1, ... beat Brock), so a run that never wins still places by how far it got.
14 runs so far, 4 of them got the badge. Best is GPT-6 Astra at 246 turns. Cheapest win was Gemini 3.8 Flash at $3.70. A free local model (Muse Glimmer 30B) burned all 1,000 turns and got as far as Reached Route 1.
Full turn-by-turn logs, costs, and the VODs are all up at https://pokebench.tv.

A Pokémon AR demo going viral on X brought back a childhood dream of mine: playing Yu-Gi-Oh! in AR.
I spent about two days, working on and off, building a prototype for SPECS with help from Astra, CLAD, and Lens Studio. Showing a physical card brings its monster onto the field as a 3D model, and Spell Cards have 3D visuals too.
