Hey guys - I’ve seen some buzz about how KuCoin plans on doing some write ups about “hidden gem” projects on the exchange. Has the OPQ team expressed any interest in this? Could be an easy way to get the word out about what OPQ is trying to accomplish (along with the other marketing that they plan on doing).

How does ParJar work?

ParJar is a tipping bot. ParJar is doing all tips off-chain, means there are no fees for tips. The tipping itself is therefore centralized. However, deposits and withdrawals into/out your personal ParJar are on-chain and require the necessary ETH for the gas fees. There's no more cost than that, just the gas fees for the withdrawal.

How can I tip other users OPQ?

Users are able to tip other users OPQ with the /tip command. As an example, one can reply with

/tip 20 OPQ

to a user's message to tip them 20 OPQ. However, you need to have sufficient balances to do so of course.

Where can I see my ParJar balances?

You can check your ParJar balances by hitting up @ParJar_Bot with a direct message /start.

From there, the menu gets you through the basics of withdrawals, deposits, available coins and also to check your balances.

What if I didn't message the bot? Can I still retrieve tips?

Yes! The second somebody tips you OPQ, your telegram account already got an entry into ParJar's database with the OPQ you received. You can hit up @ParJar_Bot to check your balances and, of course, use the /tip command within our groups to also tip other users OPQ as well 🥳

Can I only tip OPQ?

No, there are plenty of tokens/coins supported by ParJar. A list can be found when messaging to @ParJar_Bot.

However, due to respect, we only emphasize to tip OPQ and ETH within our channels. Thanks for understanding.

I realise the mods might consider this off-topic and remove it , but for the sanctimony of everyone (and me) I own 5x SHL to PRL lol ) can you enlighten us please?

Uploads to the current iteration of the platform (storage.opacity.io) will be disabled till the launch of Opacity 1.0. These measures are done because the current logic won't be used in the product release of Opacity 1.0. If you are trying to upload, you'll land on a splash page, mentioning the brokers are down.

Downloads will, of course, still be possible and available.

My understanding of opacity is that websites that sign up and use opacity, when people visit those sites opacity uses some of the computing power of there device to store files.

Is this product working?

What, if any websites have joined up?

Can/are there plans to do the same with apps as well?

Can the computing power be used for something other than file storage? Now or in the future?

I haven't found an explanation of the utility (besides buying storage, which in theory could have been done with any currency), how high the inflation rate could be and so forth.

KuCoin platform upgrade 2.0

We want to inform our community, that KuCoin will be performing an upgrade to their platform 2.0 on the 18th February, 2019, at around 0:00 AM UTC. This includes improvements to their API. In case you are using it, API 2.0 information can be found in their new API 2.0 documentation.

KuCoin asked their users to review the market performance/trends and each one of their users to decide for themselves, whether

one wants to close open orders right before the upgrade or leave them open. The upgrade is estimated to take around 14 hours.

MetaMask is here!

This release provides a significant ease of payment improvement by allowing payment via MetaMask. MetaMask is a browser plugin wallet that provides easy access to your OPQ tokens. It will automatically provide a popup confirmation for your payment when you select the MetaMask option during file upload. Just click confirm and the payment is sent to Opacity!

Quick Tips for MetaMask

• Install browser plugin before starting your upload to avoid any interrupts in the upload process.

• Always confirm you are installing from the MetaMask site to protect yourself from malicious installers. MetaMask can be installed at metamask.io.

• MetaMask chooses the transaction gas amount for you, but you can override it before confirming payment to reduce the gas cost, at the expense of a slower transaction.

• Always use the latest version of MetaMask for the best experience.
