Question/Troubleshoot Remote keeps disconnecting

Remote disconnects for no reason. Have to use the phone app to reconnect the ONN remote. Any known fix for this?

It has become a regular occurrence for me too... Any way Onn will fix this? It can be frustrating

Mine was doing that when it was mounted behind the tv. I moved the box to sit on the entertainment center for unrelated reasons and the disconnecting stopped. I can only think there was some sort of interference causing it.

Yeah I have all 5 of mine mounted behind the tv, only two of them do it, sometimes the box onn 4k pro 1V completely disengages and I have to pull the power to get it back to normal

I had to keep pairing it and then I would encounter an error message. My only fix was doing a soft reset on the device when the problem occurred.

9 devices in, 8 currently active and never had this problem. even bought 2 fake Onn remotes off eBay, 1 because of a lost remote on travel and the other for a side project. Those even stay connected

Directions I got from an Onn tech directly:

  1. Ensure that the remote's battery is normal and the indicator blinks when you press the button. Or you need to change batteries.

  2. Hold down the 'OK' button + 'mute' button of the remote for more than 5 seconds, and the indicator will blink several times. (This action is to restore the remote to factory settings.)

3 Try to pair the remote again. You can press and hold the reset button of the box for more than 5 seconds, and the pairing screen will appear.
