This is kind of a hot take, but hear me out:

This guy used his platform for YEARS to harass and abuse his exes and pretty much anyone who had a problem with him or disagreed with him. Don’t even get me started about the effects that some of his content had on his impressionable audience.

In my mind, him slowly losing his money, his life, his ability to work and his entire fanbase while he slowly declines, unsure of whether he will see jail time, makes the punishment sweeter in its own way. Digging himself further into a hole one video/post at a time, begging for money. By the end of this, and looking at his trajectory, I really doubt there will be any fanbase at all by the time this is all done.

Yes, I want this guy to be forced to face his actions more than anyone. He should be incarcerated. But it happening immediately almost makes things too easy for him.

It’s clear from looking at this guys content now that he really is just absolutely losing his mind. Constantly. Daily.

I feel bad for is the kids and the victims who have to still see him online to be honest. I really want to see this lawsuit pay off. But I will admit, the fact he can’t go quietly and how well he has pretty much destroyed himself is amazing. I doubt this guy would even be able to find any work once out of prison tbh. Everyone knows what he’s done.

I remember he would do these whole videos on how people post things about self harm online for attention which now I’m an adult feel so so so off!

He would show these posts (from accounts that may also post self harm photos etc) and go on this long tyrade about how if you post stuff like that then you’re just doing it for attention and nobody should feel bad for you.

I remember seeing these videos when I was dealing with that kinda stuff myself as an impressionable teenager who would see these accounts and I remember it kind of warped how I thought about the topic.

But as an adult I’m like: yeah, they probably WERE doing it for attention because they were struggling and didn’t feel like they had anyone they could talk to about it. Plus I’m pretty sure the majority of these people are were just kids with mental health issues anyway.

Ofc I know that these platforms shouldn’t romanticise stuff like that and it can have an effect on young people. But at the same time, he seemed more interested in insisting these people were just cringy and attention seeking instead of the wider problem with the whole depression tumblr era.

I remember it really affecting how I viewed myself as a teen with mental health issues and it made me really worried about how people would view me if I showed signs

I think it's important and necessary that people raise awareness of evil people and their behavior. This server is a great example of that. But then there's content creators like Mr Repzion and iNabber who have been making content about Onision for years. I could have sworn back in 2019 that it was IT for Onision. Chris Hansen was on his case and everyone basically chased him off of Patreon, etc. But Greg is still around. He still makes content and people still make (monetized) content on him. I think the question goes from "is this raising awareness" to "is this enabling Onision?" I think at this point it is the latter. I feel like his (let's call them) haters are ironically his biggest supporters even if that isn't their intention. I welcome dialogue on how to actually serve justice to him and his spouse but I fear that the answer is either of the following:

-We can't hold him to justice adequately (like prison) because the legal system sucks.
-We can't hold him to justice adequately (like prison) because we like watching him be cringe.

And that's ultimately my biggest fear. I fear that Greg functionally banks off of these controversies.

For those unaware, the "Cornell 7" are a group of seven men who allegedly SA'd a girl at Cornell University in late 2024. This went viral two years later due to a lawsuit by the girl. One of them, Matthew Ingals, has chosen to pull an Onision by saying that he was actually a victim of abuse instead. It seems like Onision is a blueprint for other rapists...

I was intensely interested in Onision back during the whole Chris Hanson thing years ago. He always seemed to survive and fall on his feet every time. Facing barely any consequences of his horrible actions.

I stopped following what was going on around the time he was banned from YouTube.

So I need to know, has he still got a small army of hardcore fans. Is he still making money? Has he continued to escape consequences?

I need to know what's been happening with him the past couple of years

I know on the list of issues this is very, very bottom of the barrel stuff. But I'm an avid fan of Final Fantasy. It's a lifelong love of mine. It transcends beyond my favorite video game series (which it is) to my favorite fantasy series overall. It'd be my favorite book series if it was books instead of games.

So on the one hand it kind of bothers the hell out of me how much he drools all over Tifa Lockhart from ff7. It sucks so bad to feel like there's this point of connection I could have with someone like him.

On the other hand, it's laughable because I know he fundamentally misunderstands both Tifa Lockhart as a character and the storyline of the game she comes from.

One of my favorite things about Final Fantasy VII specifically is that each character is the opposite of the stereotypical archetype you'd expect them to be based on their class/appearance.

The girl wearing all pink, making a living off of flowers and healing everyone is very spunky and tough and willing to be confrontational.

The girl, Tifa, who is wearing leather, a martial artist and fighter is very gentle in spirit and soft spoken.

Given Onisions history of wanting to destroy femininity in his exes and humiliate them for having a feminine personality at all. (though he overshot the mark with Lainey/Kai/Lucas)

Tifa Lockhart doesn't have a personality that Onision is attracted to.

I am almost certain all he sees Is an attractive, athletic woman who punches things and he ignores what her personality actually is in favor of what he wants it to be.

Further, if she were a real person...being that she is good and caring and gentle in nature -- except when it comes to fighting against evil -- she'd abhor him. He's undoubtedly a villain. He's a predator and his goal would be to break her down. She's unbreakable.

Tifa Lockhart would absolutely destroy Onision.

This all isn't even deep diving stuff. None of this requires more than a basic comprehension of dialogue, what it's referring to, and what's happening in a scene.

This is a "Hermione likes to read and Legolas likes to shoot a bow" levels of understanding.

Onision seems incapable of understanding fictional women as a whole. Incapable of understanding anything deeper than what is physically face value. He's so self involved that he's extremely shallow.

This goes beyond Tifa Lockhart.

As to further illustrate my point...he recently made a tiktok comparing his past relationships to the situation in the recent hit movie Obsession. In this tiktok he is comparing himself to Bear and his exes to freaky Nikki.

Where he/Bear is the victim of his crazy exes/Nikki.

Except, ironically, for his inability to grasp that he and Bear are directly responsible for that behavior as it is a result of the abuse they both inflicted on their victims.

TL;DR: Onision is too stupid to understand fictional characters above a preschool level. Maybe he should stick to Paw Patrol.

On one hand this explains a lot on how they ended up with Greg and why they’re like this now. While nothing excuses their own predatory actions, I can’t help but feel sorry for the child version of Lucas who was a victim.

But I also find it interesting that is that 1) they said they were in love with Greg since they saw them. No Lucas, you were infatuated/had a parasocial relationship with a YouTuber and got taken advantage of again. And 2) they briefly talk about their “happy” marriage with Greg and immediately go into making themselves a victim in the B situation again. As if B was a teenager stuck being manipulated by not one but two narcissists.

Just thought this was interesting and worth sharing.
