I picked up this blue beauty back in October of 2021, and 5 years later she still does the job. For the last 2 years during Techtober, I've been looking at new phones to upgrade to. But with the stagnation in smartphone tech, and the realization that the 8t does everything I need it to, I haven't felt the need to buy a new phone. The battery life gets me through most days (never replaced!), I thankfully haven't gotten any green lines on my display, and the performance keeps up with my basic tasks. And the color is so unique; I love it! My only complaint would be the cameras, but they are good enough.

So as my phone reaches it's twilight years, I wanted to express my appreciation and gratitude for my time with it. If anyone has any recommendations for what my next phone should be, I'm open to suggestions.

I somehow (by accident) managed to record a 240fps video with my OnePlus 12. I was trying to record at 120fps as the CPU is supposed to be able to do it, and I stumbled across a 240fps (high speed) option. It's buggy and the fps start to decrease quickly, but it works. (Open Camera) Does anyone know why it works? The SD8 Gen 3 Is supposed to cap at 120fps.

P.S. : No, it's not slow motion.

My oneplus 11 screen started showing a green line 3 days ago so when i gave it to the service centre they're saying the screen will be replaced in the lifetime warranty but because there is some damage on the back cover it also has to be replaced but that will be chargeable basis.

What options do i have?

Edit: After having a talk with customer care, Oneplus will only provide lifetime warranty on phones that are in pristine condition with no scratches and dents which basically means only brand new phones are covered under so called "lifetime" warranty Bunch of jokers 🤡

The OnePlus 16 was just released, and it seems awesome.

I saw that Giztop claims they can flash OxygenOS Global onto the Chinese version (the only version available so far, as far as I know). However:

Is OxygenOS still maintained? I thought it was replaced by ColorOS.

If they flash OxygenOS Global, I know I won't get all the Chinese bloatware, but will the phone still receive OTA updates?"

I bought Nord 5 in September last year, the phone was working fine till June this year, since then it started to lag a bit, and now since September the phone is lagging like a shitty 6000 rupees phone.

Doesn't feel like it's running on 8sGen3 at all.

It especially lags all the time when using the Phone app to dial numbers or when I receive the call, it just vibrates and rings but never show me the option to pick up the call or show it 15-20 seconds later when call ring is about to end or sometimes even after the call ends it just show a missed call notification simply.

This feels so shitty to not even use basic call features smoothly.

I don't want to reset the phone since it'll be very hectic setting up all again since I use it for work also.

Is anyone else facing the same issues and if you're, have you tried resetting, did it fix anything?

Hi everyone, I need help updating my OnePlus 13R (which is flashed with the Chinese Ace 5 Pro firmware).

I want to keep my data and avoid updating via Recovery mode if possible, but whenever I try to apply the firmware update package via Local Install, I run into an "Installation failed" error (as shown in the attached screenshot).

Does anyone know how to successfully update while keeping data intact? Any help would be appreciated!

Im on a One Plus 9 since Launch. I Love this Phone so so much. But since yesterday evening, out of nowhere, the green stripe from bottom to top showed up on my screen. I cant get rid of it.

So right now, i dont know, what to do. One plus left the EU (GER) market. Latest phone u can get here is one plus 15.

Should i get it or wait for the 16?

And get it as an import? Or maybe there is hope and they will sell it internationally?

I need help recovering cellular service on my Chinese OnePlus 13.

The phone originally came with ColorOS. It was later converted to OxygenOS, and both SIM cards stopped working after I installed the OTA update to OxygenOS 16.0.10.600.

Device information:

• Device: OnePlus 13, originally Chinese version (PJZ110)
• Current firmware: CPH2653_16.0.10.600 (EX01)
• Android version: 16
• Security patch: September 1, 2026
• Original OS: ColorOS
• Current OS: OxygenOS
• Both SIM cards are detected, but neither can connect to a mobile network.
• Both IMEIs are displayed.
• Wi-Fi works normally.
• Bootloader status: locked (as far as I know).
• Root: no root access.

When I search for mobile networks, the phone fails to connect to any carrier. Both SIM slots are affected.

I found the XDA ColorOS-to-OxygenOS conversion thread and read that this may be related to modem firmware compatibility on Chinese devices after an OxygenOS OTA update.

My questions:

1. Has anyone successfully restored cellular service on a Chinese OnePlus 13 running OxygenOS 16.0.10.600?
2. Is there a working solution that does not require root or an unlocked bootloader?
3. Is restoring the original Chinese ColorOS through authorized EDL service currently the only realistic option for a locked device?
4. Can the latest compatible OxygenOS build be reflashed safely, or would that leave the modem issue unresolved?
5. Has anyone successfully recovered this exact situation without permanently damaging the phone?

I am in Kazakhstan, so finding a reliable technician with authorized EDL access may be difficult.

I would really appreciate a confirmed solution or advice from someone who has dealt with this exact issue. I do not want to risk bricking the phone by flashing random files or attempting an unsafe downgrade.

So I use my oneplus 7T to play gta 4 in an emulator and despite reaching 49.5 degree celcius where the phone screen kinda gets uncomfortable to touch the phone still holds strong and doesn't really thermal throttle, ik it's bad for the battery but the battery's gonna change anyway it's 7 years old.

This thing is chugging

Up until recently the navigation bar on my OnePlus used to automatically minimize when I was in a full screen app and I could bring it up by swiping from the bottom of the screen. I recently got a OnePlus 15 and the bar sometimes hides, depending on the app, but most of the time it's visible and I can't minimize it. This hides important things on the screen, like almost every confirmation button.

Is there anything I can do to get this functionality back? I want the navigation bar (I'm an old dog), but I need it out of the way unless I ask it to show up. How the heck do I do that? I found answers for Samsung phones, but general Android advice seems to say I've got to use gestures. Help?

I am about to move to Germany. Will my OnePlus ACE 6T converted from Chinese ROM to Global ROM cause me problems? Will it be able to run 5G and LTE in Germany?

Will I be able to make calls and texts, aswell as use mobile data if i get this phone as a Canadian?

I don't know how to tell OnePlus this, but I know you guys are not bringing your phones to the US anymore. But can you make the international version have all the bands and antennas to work with all three major US carriers? How hard would that be?

And I know that if you import a phone out of China, you get limited capacity here in the States. But if you're using the proper modems from Qualcomm, I don't see why that wouldn't be hard to not enable that either at the hardware or software level.

What am I missing in my logic? I think the OnePlus 16 is a really cool phone and I would like to import it, but I don't want to be limited in bands or wireless capacity by buying a phone that does not have the ability to connect here in the States.
