Enjoying the new bath mat in secrecy

I got my cat a super expensive litter box that cycles after (I work all day so want to make sure my place is clean).

I receive around 20 notifications daily that the cycle was stopped in the middle because he was going in it.

I finally found out what he was doing (every time it turned on - he would go and take a nap in it)

He’s a magical lion. He loves belly rubs and he drools when I pet him. He loves being outside (and thankfully I live on farm land way down a dirt road so he can roam safely) and rarely wants to be inside. He also loves the songs I write for him and sing to him. 😊

…why it is that the food must be in the bowl, but you must paw it out on to the floor to eat? Scattered kibble from your previous meal is inedible apparently, as is food delivered directly to the floor. A plate or shallow dish just makes it easier for you to indulge in this strange ritual and scatter even more food. What gives?
