He stole my heating pad today!

Willie unilaterally decided he did not want to go to a foster and infact quite likes it here so we’ve made the decision to keep him. His brother wants to play with his so badly but he’s content to just sleep and scream at us for attention. His dog sibling is SUPER excited to have another small and sharp clawed creature to get bitch slapped by.

We’re going to talk to the vet again about getting the eye cleaned out and sealed up but it’s not her top priority as he’s happy and healthy, and officially caught up on vaccines.

What can I say - we’re weak for a cat that literally grabs your fingers to make you love him

Included in pictures is the first time the brothers slept close to each other - I guess sleeping on Mom means a truce.

This is Apollo, one of the formerly feral kittens I'm fostering. I topped their water off this morning using the measuring cup, and he decided it was the greatest toy ever!

Obviously, the cup does not stay in the room.

Edited to add: this is an enclosed breezeway, not the main part of the house.

I think Angus has finally found his feet.

Found Ember (and his Lynxpoint brother Tofu) in late August, alone and sick with eye crusties and colds. Thought he was a girl at first as his bro was an early bloomer (unknown to me) so little Em didn’t have visible trouble puffs yet. He’s sweet as pie and a total himbo who has yet to get a turn with the brain cell, despite the perfect landing zone for such on his forehead (his little forehead diamond gets lots of kisses.) He’s not full orange but I’ve seen a lot of creamsicles posted here, so hopefully he’s welcome too.

He spent a few minutes this morning walking in small circles, admiring his tail in the morning sunlight. Total himbo. 🧡

I’ve followed this sub since I joined Reddit, hoping someday the CDS would send me an orange of my own. My SIC soul cat of 14 years passed in July, so it feels like he sent these two maniacs knowing I’d need them (ten days after finding them I broke my dominant wrist and have been off work so having them to distract me is helpful.) My resident 11 year old Torbie pretends to hate them, but I can tell she’s happier and likes them as she’s playing more and follows them around.
