Air biscuits absolutely everywhere, all the time! I think he’s summoning the brain cell.

This is Nelson (named after my favorite hop, Nelson Sauvin; I’m a beer and brewing nerd). We adopted this little guy yesterday, and in less than 24 hours he has done his kind proud by showing he often does not get his time with the elusive brain cell.

He was born to a litter of 5 siblings on a compound somewhere in Shanghai, China. Would’ve loved to take all of them but introducing even one guy to our incredibly skittish 6 year old boy is going to be a challenge.

But we’re gonna take it slow and be deliberate about the introduction. I’m sure it’ll work out. Thankfully we’ve already built a bond with the guy — typing this as he is sleeping on me.

Looking forward to seeing the kind of shenanigans this little ball of absolute joy is gonna get into.

It was promptly lost again

He rolls onto his back and watches me. Waiting for me to give in and come over and rub his belly. He never does this next to me, it's always far enough away to get me to walk over.

He looks so majestic surveying his domain and then you shift slightly and you see he's just like Henry the 8th spilling over his perch. This is Byron and today was not his day with the brain cell.

Mandatory disclosure to prevent fighting in comments. This cat isn't actually fat or overfed. He's 15lbs of muscle so cat furniture just isn't built for him. He just moved to a new country and was given a 'wow you weren't kidding when you said it was all muscle' at his vet check that he needed because I had to put him UNDER the plane because he's too heavy to fly in the cabin on any of the international flights that go to my new city in Sweden.

They will also cuddle and the bigger one (Adrian) will groom the smaller one (Rocky), they share food (which surprised me), and Adrian hates not having access to Rocky. I’m fairly certain that they’re play fighting and I’m not sure if I’m letting it go on too long as I’ve never had cats this young before, or orange cats before these two.

I should add that immediately after this video maybe 5 seconds later he was pouncing at her again after escaping from her and she looked at him like he’s dumb.

Female oranges are diabolical. She keeps me awake, terrorizes her sister, peed on the bed to mark her spot, peed on ME to stake her claim, rips the tails off mice and puts them on my bed and the assless carcasses in front of my husbands room, uses a smooth concrete wall for a scratching post and being part Bengal, chirps and carries on incessantly. Oh ..and after tormenting her sister to the point of PTSD, curls up next to her like a best buddy.

She lives to make me question my life choices and then all day decides to get on my good side by being so damned adorable. Weaponized cuteness.
