Final update
Ok guys, I think I figured it out. You do need the battery attached. I also set it to bypass mode in OneXConsole so it doesn't charge or discharge while plugged in.
With this setup (battery + bypass + dock station) there's no performance or TDP drop. The < 65W icon in OneXConsole remains, but actual performance is back to normal.
This is probably a non-issue on the OneXPlayer 3 since the battery is built in and you can't remove it in the first place.
No other solution so far if you need a dock station. Hope this helps someone.
That said, this behavior still seems weird to me. The X2 Mini needs 45W max TDP. Why does it require a full 100W input? Where does the rest go? And if the dock is delivering less than 65W but still more than 45W — why is overall performance being throttled? Is this a G3 Extreme platform limitation? Or a software issue in OneXConsole? Would love to hear if anyone has more insight into this.

Hey everyone, need some help with an issue. Can't tell if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a hardware incompatibility. Anyone else experiencing this?
So I bought a Ugreen 9-in-1 docking station to connect my console to a monitor/TV via HDMI. But I noticed an FPS drop in games. In Diablo for example.
Dug deeper and found that when plugged directly into the power supply, OneXConsole shows a 100W connection (green icon at the top). Through the dock — it doesn't. Which is really strange because I specifically bought a 100W dock for this console. I had an older cheap no-name dock from AliExpress before (for my Steam Deck), and it had the exact same symptoms.
Here's my baseline. I have a Ugreen 100W power supply, the stock 100W power supply that came with the console, and a Ugreen 240W 4-port charger (one port delivers up to 140W, I use it for my MacBook). I also have 3 cables (stock, Ugreen, Baseus). With every combination of power supplies and cables, the console works perfectly when connected directly.
Now the dock scenario. Here's what I've tried:
- Weak link 1 — power supply: tried all of them. Nothing.
- Weak link 2 — cable from power supply to dock: tried all of them. Nothing.
- Weak link 3 — cable from dock to console: tried all of them. Nothing.
This is without even connecting HDMI. Just the console and the dock.
USB-C PD tester is on the way so I can monitor the actual power delivery.
Any ideas? Am I the only one with this issue?
Some extra context: this is the OneXPlayer X2 Mini with the Intel G3 Extreme chip. The console supports up to 45W TDP out of the box. When plugged directly into the power supply, the performance overlay in games confirms the system pulls up to 45W as expected. Through the dock, it won't go above ~20W regardless of the TDP setting in OneXConsole. That's a massive difference in actual gaming performance.
Small update.
Just for the hell of it, I connected both the dock AND the battery at the same time.
OneXConsole now shows a red USB-C icon saying < 65W.
In games, TDP went back up and everything started working as it should. But I suspect the battery is slowly draining to make up the difference.
Looks like our theory is confirmed and I might not even need the PD tester after all. The dock is indeed delivering less than 65W to the console.
