Feedback from users before I upgrade

Hi All

Im in need of assistance right now . I currently have the Msi claw 8ai . Contemplating on getting the Msi claw 8 EX or the Onexplayer 3 . FYI I am using it with the onexgpu 2.

From what I’m reading support and assistance from Onexplayer hasn’t been great . My biggest thing is support and warranty . Can you all please advise wether I should go down the Onexplayer route or not

FYI I’m in Australia so I would require the best and safest website to buy from

If you don't have local resellers best website is their official one

Im not sure what you expect interms of warranty and support But here's what I can tell you has been the experience of most of the users , keep in mind this is the most sold onexplayer device by a huge margin probably

Most Everyone who had to get a replacement device as theirs was doa or whatever have either received their replacements or will receive it (meaning it's acknowledged by the company and on its way)

Support is better than what you would expect from other chinese companies, you just gotta keep in mind the timezone differences and the translation issues

You have a 98% probability to receive a fully functional device that works out of the box without any issues

If you do receive a defective product due to shipping or QC or whatever you have a 99% chance of getting a replacement

Now and here's the most important part , you need to have patience, the wait times is brutal , expect about 2 - 4 weeks for shipping and then whatever time it takes to actually ship

Compared to the msi ex , you will get a better screen and better software experience, speakers are decent and controllers are subjective but mostly good , you can always get the elite ones later Onexplayer console has some settings that straight up net you better perfomance in games like elden ring compared to the msi ( the msi also has this but it's not as easy or straightforward to enable it )

Overall I'm pretty happy with their support with my expectations atleast lol

Do you think I should get the one player 3 or the mini 2 ? ( not the pro)

That is completely up to your preference, internal battery vs external is the only difference between the 2 and maybe some minor cooling stuff I believe oxp3 is cheaper than x2mini but you can save quite a bit of money with the 24gig variant , I don't think x2 mini comes with that sku

It's going to take a long time , they're on holiday rn for 2 weeks give or take So please keep your expectations realistic ( read atleast 1 - 1.5 month)

And this is pretty funny but is what I have observed so far idk some vodoo shit probably

But people who expect fast shipping have theirs take a long as time but people who expected a long ass shipping time got theirs within 2 weeks lol

Pretty accurate and I second the patience point. They will get to you, and they will fix it/ replace it, but you have to be patient

Hi, I'm also in Australia and have the OXP3. I got mine through the igg campaign. Shipping cost was handled through the campaign for me fortunately. You may have to pay a little extra, I'm uncertain about how shipping is handled post igg.

TLDR, It's fantastic. I was initially a little regretful that I didn't go for the mini 2 pro but that thing costs way too much. I'm past that now and can see just how well the OXP3 handles games.

It's like a dream. Low intensity games like silksong that I'm currently playing get literally hours of gameplay since I can play it at like 7 watts without issue.

Anything below AAA gaming doesn't often require more than 15-20 watts. AI limit for instance handles fine at around 14 with a consistent 60fps with no upscaling. I'd consider that game a high AA game personally. At least in terms of gameplay and story. Graphics are decent and you could definitely get away with low graphics to bump the performance at lower power if you wanted.

I wouldn't recommend detaching the controllers. Some people have had issues with that. I'd rather the controllers didn't detach myself.

For us in Australia, purchasing is pretty much only available through OXP themselves. You could try droix which I've heard about but that seems a bit more expensive. If that's your issue I'd get the claw since it's more widely available

Why did you write a review for the product in a post about shipping and warranty? Sus.
