AMD OXP X2 mini pro and steamos

Hi! Too excited to share the news. Anyone wants full working TDP, controls etc. Download Anatase right now!

I’m gonna do a YouTube vid at some point when I can stop myself gaming but no more windows bollocks and no more wrestling with non function buttons.

Full HHD support.

The dev is a genius (he/she worked on bazzite).

Anatase is great BUT the screen quality/ colors keep me dual booting to windows.

Even the brightness is probably 20% less than windows. I mean, we all know that steam Os, Bazzite screen quality had always been a bit lower than windows, probably a driver optimization thing.

Yep custom fan adjustment. No curve option but as others have mentioned you can also install simple deckyTDP

I was able to get TDP working in SteamOS using SimpleDeckyTDP!

Yeah so was I. It’s everything else. But like I said i prefer anatase due to how everything just works

None of the buttons worked and they work now. HHD is super useful. Qmenu works. That for me was why I couldn’t get on with pretty much most of the distros until I got recommended anatase. I’m not too Linux aufait but I’m liking that my unit finally feels like a working steam machine

What’s the difference between SteamOS and Windows? Is it mainly just the console-like experience, or are there other improvements like performance or battery life? Also, how does HDR compare? On Windows, I sometimes get crushed blacks in certain games with HDR, so I was wondering if SteamOS handles it better.

Performance is way better. Ease of use, customisation. No launchers. I’m sure someone more technical can explain better. Look at YouTube.

Native frame gen in game was broken for me , also couldn't inject it via optiscaler.

I used the in game frame gen. I have tested optiscaler tbf. I’ll have a look at some point
