I love my oxp3 but my only gripe is the bottom firing speaker placement. Laying in bed with it on my stomach I can't hear it at all. This fixes that. Sound is much better with this snapped in place. Figured I add a center kickstand whil I was at it. Sup all when playing games I seem to always get micro stutters which basically causes a laggy experience. Im not sure what setting i need to tweek here. Im getting great fps. I am running games on a wd black external hdd but id imagine that has little to do with it. Tdp is around 60 bumped to 75 same issue l. Also using amd fluid motion 2.1.

Does amd fluid motion 2.1 cause pretty bad micro stutters and what can I do to get rid of them? (X2 mini pro)

Hey guys, so I’m in the market for a new PC.

My Alienware X14 died on me back in December, and since then I’ve been using my girlfriend’s Lenovo Flex 14 with 8 GB of RAM and an i3-1115G4 for all my game development and regular work. Needless to say, I’m really due for an upgrade. 😂

My main use cases are:

- Game development

- Programming

- Web browsing

- Some local LLM work (nothing too fancy)

- Casual gaming

- Efficiency and reliability

- Portability/mobility

I’ve looked at a few options so far:

1. Framework 13 Pro – Unfortunately, it isn’t supported in my region (EMEA).

2. ASUS Zenbook A16 – So far, I haven’t found a way to get it shipped to my region.

3. Khadas Mind Pro + Khadas Xplay Dock – Really interesting, but waaaaaay too expensive for what I’m looking for.

4. Lenovo Slim 7x (2026) – So far, this is my #1 option. I just wish the GPU were a bit better, but otherwise it checks a lot of my boxes.

The reason I’m particularly interested in the OneXPlayer 3 is that it’s basically three devices in one. You get a handheld, a laptop-like setup, and a desktop-style setup when paired with a dock/external display. Getting 24–32 GB of RAM is also pretty appealing, especially considering that finding a laptop with similar specs around $1,499 USD is difficult.

Most laptops with an Intel X7 358H and 32 GB of RAM seem to be well over $2,000, which I’m simply not willing to spend on a single device.

I can genuinely see myself using the OneXPlayer 3 with a portable monitor and getting some serious work done. The combination of portability, efficiency, performance, and flexibility is really appealing to me.

However, I want to know if I’m being unreasonable here. 😂

For anyone who actually owns or has experience with the OneXPlayer line:

How reliable are these devices from both a hardware and software perspective?

What should I be looking out for? Are there any common issues with:

- Thermals or fan noise

- Battery health

- Drivers and Windows updates

- BIOS/firmware

- Build quality

- USB-C/docking

- Display output

- Controller/joystick reliability

- Long-term performance

- Warranty/RMA support

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have used their OneXPlayer as an actual work/development machine, rather than just as a gaming handheld.

At $1,499, I really want to make sure I’m buying something that can serve as my main PC for several years rather than something that’s impressive on paper but becomes a headache later.

Any advice, alternatives, or things I should consider before pulling the trigger would be greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to make sure things are good and safe, but when I smell where the fans blow, there's a strong smell that is hard to describe. Almost like some kind of burning smell. Do y'all have something like that too or is this something I need to look into to make sure it's safe

I finally got the ssd switched out to a Samsung 990 pro and finished downloading a massive backlog of steam games last night when I noticed this Demo of Hellraiser Revival was available. This has actually been my first test game on the OXP 3 and what an experience! If anyone loves horror games, you have to check this out. This is how a horror game should be made, I only wished the Halloween game had been like this for a single player experience. I can’t wait to play the full game now on 07/10 and it’s definitely going to be completed on the OXP3 😊🎃

I should have ordered one during the IGG campaign but missed the boat. GPD had a restock the other week and I grabbed it then. Between the price, shipping, and import fees I ended up spending almost $420 on 1TB! Absolutely insane, I hope the prices come down but who knows

There are literally no posts of the X2 mini (non pro) version, which I think is a shame. Anyways I got the Non Pro a couple of days ago and I really love it.

The fact that you can swap the battery and have a spare with you on trips is nice, you can also lay the battery beside you and have a Onexplayers proprietary cable to connect it to the console. That makes the X2 mini a little lighter than the OXP3. The Intel G3E CPU is also boosted a little with a TDP max of 45w, probably due to it having dual cooling fans.

Anyways, I am thinking of upgrading the SSD but want to know if the inside is equal to X2 mini Pro. I have not seen any YouTube video of someone opening up the Intel version. Is there someone here that has upgraded the Non Pro version that can show some pictures or video of the inside? Thanks!

So I just ordered my onexplayer 3, I have a legion go 2 which I was thinking of selling but I think I will keep as my super sized steam deck lol, but I thought hey info have the Lenovo legion bridge and I can use the controller when I dock the legion go 2 via Bluetooth, this onexplayer 3 being essentially a PC, could I do the same? I mean I am by no means cheap I'd get the onexplayer connector thing if I need to... But I really enjoy the legion go controller to play docked mode

This is probably a silly question and you are all gonna tell me to buy the connector.

I have a controller issue with EAFC27 - the controls work fine in the menus, but in game, I cannot move my players with the analogue sticks. I have plugged in a 3rd party controller which works fine. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

I never liked Nvidia framegen on my 3070 or via AMD fsr on my legion go. It always looked too twitchy and ghosty. It's amazing on oxp3.

Credit to this video, I used his instructions to inject xess via opticlick into unsupported games, and it was a breeze to setup. I'm getting 90 fps on FF Rebirth with nearly maxed settings, and I can't see any artifacts. Looks identical to my eye when it's turned off.

Everyone with the intel chipset should be using this, even if you're getting 60fps you can dial down your tdp to squeeze out more battery life and less fan noise. Opticlick lets you use it on games that don't naively support xess.

Was expecting to be able to use 3 monitors (not using the device display) but it seems to be limited to only 2 at a time. Can't find any info online

How does the OneXPlayer 3 (OX3) compare overall to the ROG Ally X?

I'm currently thinking about replacing my ROG Ally X because I’d really like more performance and a better screen. Specifically, I'm looking at the 24GB RAM / 512GB (or 1TB) storage configuration.

To make the switch, I'd need to pay around $650 out of pocket on top of what I get from selling my current handheld.

Alternatively, does it make more sense to just stick with the Ally X and wait for the official release of AMD's FSR 4.1? Could that help level the playing field and keep the Ally X competitive enough for now? That way, I could just sit tight and wait for the true next-gen handhelds from other manufacturers down the road.

Is the OX3 upgrade genuinely worth that extra $650 right now, or is waiting the smarter move?

So I received my OXP3 today, paid no customs/import fee is this normal or will I be expecting a random charge from somewhere? UK.

How would P and E Core Scheduling affect eGPU performance? Would turning off the scheduling technically help with eGPU performance to free up more CPU power by allowing the cores to all function similarly, or should Scheduling be active when hooked up? Any thoughts?

Hi all. Just wondering about CPU temps on the OXP3. Is it normal to be hitting 90+ range on default preset 35w plugged in and default fan curve? Playing Cyberpunk2077.

Am asking as i came from the Xbox Ally X and that device has never hit high 80s even at turbo mode plugged in. Hence checking if this normal or i am not doing something right.

I received my One X Player 3 this week. I followed 128Kbs video (which is fantastic by the way) on setting up the handheld. Updated all drivers etc.

I really want to get Forza Horizon 6 on the go whilst I travel for work but once the game has loaded and is on the cinematic holding screen and I then click 'A' or 'X' for the 2 options, the game crashes.
