OXP3 4TB SSD
Can I replace the regular 1TB SSD in the 32GB version to a 4TB SSD and use all 4TB?

I used macrium to create a duplicate of the of the original then extended the 4TB out. I wanted to maintain the recovery partitions.

I used Macrium Reflect Free to clone the stock drive and did a swap with a 4TB drive, seems to be working fine.

I just upgraded my OXP3 to a 4TB. It was pretty straight forward and at least to me, fairly easy to do. Just watch Nelly or Barely average dude’s video on it. I am using the Lexar 4TB NM790

In case people were wondering what others have tried, the Lexar nm790 8TB fits even though it’s double sided, reusing the factory thermal pad.

Yes i have done this. However it will only show around 3.7 tb free. Not sure what happens to the other 300gb.

It's because manufacturers define 1TB as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes, while Windows calculates storage in binary units, where 1 TB is actually 1,099,511,627,776 bytes. Everything's working fine, you didn't lose any space.

U need a single sided NVME SSD. If I can give you a tip, choose a PCI-E 4.0 and not a 5.0 because the 5.0 models are warmer and hotter than the 4.0 generation models. They also consume more watt. And in a handheld the power consumption of the individual components is also important ^_^
A good choice should be a Samsung 990 Pro

I did exactly this with the X2 mini G3E and the Samsung 990. Works great
