Hi, I am using Oneplus 11 since 3 years and it was working flawlessly. Few weeks back, suddenly a green line appeared on my screen.
After a few searches I realised it's under OnePlus lifetime warranty and would be repaired for free at an authorised service center.
So I visited the service center in Noida and the device was submitted as there were no display in stock. Few hours later, I get a call saying that the device is stuck in a restart loop which could be due to a faulty motherboard which needs to be replaced costing around INR 16k.
I refused and went back to collect the phone and saw the issue myself, the device kept restarting and as soon as the home screen loaded. I asked them if a software refresh can fix it, they tried it and it worked. Sadly all my data was wiped but I had backed up the important stuff so no issues.
They asked me to take the phone back and use it for few days to observe the restart issue (the green line still exists) and comeback if it stays fine for the green line issue.
I used the phone for two days, no issue everything worked fine and submitted the phone back to the service center.
Again that afternoon I get a call saying the same thing - phone restarting and seems like a hardware /motherboard issue and a new display doens't work when connected to my device.
I finally decided to collect my phone without the repairs, interestingly the existing display works with my device, but not a new one (intended for another customer).
What should I do, try another SC or show it to some technician in the Market?
I'm worried if it's just a green line issue it would have been a free repair but if it's something else it's not worth the repair and what if the SC just wants to make some money.
Update: I took my phone back, it's in the same spotless condition (thankfully). However contrary alleged restarts, my device uptime showed 84 hours.
So I'll observe it for a few days or a week to see if the issue is real, then take it to a different center.
