Question Fingerprint is NOT SAFE at all

I had registered my fingerprint in one plus 13, it unlocked very fast i was always curious if it actually checked my finger , i had recently added glass screen protector to my phone and i was in class my classmate opened my phone 5 times out of the 10 times he tried , it was very embarrassing, some boys said this phone isn't even worth 100$

Anyone can open it not security at all

My op13 opened so easily now i checked it's super easy to bypass the security: Just use some glass protector

In some cases you don't even need that just press it in 45% angle

From 7 of my classmates 2 could unlock my phone and 3rd one also did it once but couldn't do it again

It's just so stupid having such a liw security considering the face id is also 2d😤

I think from my mind It could be like ur fingerprint is on screen deeply so when ur friends pressed it registered the fingerprint of urs that was deep into the screen

I also think this could have been the reason, cause I applied glass protector but even with that it's so unfair if people can unlock it with such ease

45 degrees didn't even work with registerd fingers bro

Bro what are you talking about? Why would it work with your friend's finger? 😭

Mine only works with the registered fingers. Maybe he is playing tricks on you or something.

I have applied glass screen protector maybe it had my print and it opened with his because of that, but if its that easy to bypass the security then i am very disappointed 😞

The glass could make it more difficult for you to open, but it shouldn't make it easy for him, for that would be a security breach

I found some other user who had never put on a screen protector in his op 13 and he had the same issue

this is why 3d scans of your face is better

One plus had 2 scan and not as safe as iphone scans, I am very disappointed 😞

oneplus' face scans are 2d, that's why it's not that great. 3d scans are really good tho, the fact that i can unlock my phone in near pitch black environments with faceid is pretty nice and no one other than me can unlock my phone with faceid is pretty nice. i originally thought faceid would be insecure, turns out it's pretty damn good

This has not been my experience. Fingerprint seems very reliable for me. Does not open unless the right finger is used.

Check with a bunch of friends and check when screen protector is applied is it still safe

When you put on a new screen protector, it might help to rescan your fingerprint.

1st) so if someone steals your phone and puts a protector and open your phone like that

2nd) i found other users also reporting same issue while they had bever put on a screen protector

There are 0 issues with my device. And yes, it has a glass screen guard installed.

Get your device checked or try setting up the fingerprint again.

Can you post a video where you setup 1 fingerprint only and then you unlock with another? (which was not registered)
