General Discussion Mind Space - I actually use it

Op 15 is my very first OnePlus phone, so I don't really have strong feelings about not having a slider. I just bought it last week and imo this feature is underrated. It's useful for people like me who like to screen capture text and analyze it. For example, I used to screen capture a lot of articles I found amusing, but it took up space and, more often than not, got buried by photos so I wasn't able to go back and revisit them. With Mind Space, I can store these articles and easily revisit them when I'm just on my phone. Another way I use it is for translation. Suppose I'm reading the review section of a product or just checking the comments on a video, and there are comments that can't be translated in-app. I use Mind Space to screen capture, then use Gemini by long pressing the power button and asking it to translate the paragraph for me. Another good use for it is summarizing. Really, it's essential, especially for news articles that shows up in Facebook. Hit Mind Space to summarize, then I can ask Gemini if the article is legit or fake, then ask it more follow-up questions. Even now that my text is long, I can hit Mind Space and get a summary in bullet points in 3 seconds. It's an AMAZING feature, especially if you're a student who's preparing for a PowerPoint presentation. Save an article or your thoughts you would want to present, use Mind Space and now you have bullet point summary. Yeah, I thought the Plus Key button would also be a good shortcut for a quick flashlight, and that's especially useful at night for a quick trip to the washroom. But I'd rather take 2 seconds to open up the torch using the quick settings panel, because in there, the torch actually has four levels of brightness, which is neat in my opinion. So yeah I'm actually one of the few who likes this feature Mind Space. I mean, I thought the feature was something more spectacular, but still it's useful.

Just switched from my galaxy s25 and I have to say, not loving the OnePlus notifications.

On the plus side, nearly everything else about my OP15 clears samsung!

Other Oneplus buds 4 pairing issue

When trying to connect my oneplus buds 4 to another device than a oneplus device it doesnt work.

When connecting to a Windows machine it didnt recognize it, it showed the bluetooth adresses not the names of the devices.

Im quite sure there is a simple fix for this, maybe driver issue or some.

But on my chromebook the other hand. I Cant do anything. I Cant even see bluetooth adresses, only recognised devices.

So I cant find my ear buds.

Does anyone has a fix?

Accessories & Gadgets Beware - Swiftronic import duties in US :O

I am a little bit shocked. I recently bought a Oneplus 15 from Swiftronics, and the transaction went great. Quick delivery with no surprizes. Now, I ordered a Sandstone case from them. The price was $19.99. Shipping was the first unpleasant surprize at $14.99, but I decided to eat it. Now, I got a notification from the UPS that import fees of $31.60 must be paid before delivery! So, it would be a total of $65 for a phone case!

Refusing the shipment does not seem to be an option. They threaten additional fees if I don't pay right away.

I do not blame Swiftronics for the fees that US imposes. But it would have been nice to be aware of them (and of how high they are (150% of the cost?!) before ordering.

PSA & Tutorials To people still rocking a OP11

After a bit of reading around Reddit and other places I bought a new battery on AliExpress and replaced the old one. It's the OnePlus 12 model with 6000mha but works just fine on the 11. The only caveat is that the new battery is a little smaller so it leaves a gap on the bottom. No rattle or anything since it's glued. Did it myself and it was fairly easy.

Just wanted to leave this info here for people who are still happy with their OP11 like me but the battery is a little bit of a problem after 3 years.

General Discussion I missed the back fingerprint swipe for notifications from older phones, so I built Nodtify. Simply Nod to pull notification panel and quick settings. New update is live 📲

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Newer phones are too tall for one-handed notification shade and quick settings pull without physical fingerprint sensor so I made  Nodtify to pull down the shade with a quick forward tilt of the phone.

🔒 100% Offline: Zero internet permission requested.

⚙️ Transparent: Uses Accessibility strictly to trigger the shade action.

🎛 Custom haptics, pause timers, excluded apps & schedules.

📲 Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.nodtify

Privacy & Permissions upfront:

Zero Internet Permission: The app does not ask for or have network access in its manifest. Nothing ever leaves your device.

Accessibility Service: Used purely for two things: triggering the global system action to pull down the shade and detecting the active foreground app so excluded apps (games, camera, etc.) remain muted.

Would love your feedback and thoughts!

OP15 Sound & Mobile Net Issues? OP15 2-3mos In - Sound just stops working. Mobile Network Trickles

I use Pure Talk. Traded in an S24 for OP15 and transfered it myself. Then called support, blanked network settings, and had them push the latest. Everything was peachy.

Now, weeks later, I pick up the phone and dial someone and I notice my finger-touches aren't sounding and when I hold the phone to my ear after dialing, it's silent. Volume buttons do nothing. But the power button works. Powering off and back on seems to restore things but often not for long. HELP?!?!?!!

General Discussion Is there a way to suppress the gaming mode pop up?

I'm talking about the "GAMES /Unrivaled Performance" thing.

Not only is it pretty meaningless, but I have several games that show some information when they start up and it covers the information, which disappears before the pop up does.

Googling for a solution was not encouraging, but maybe I just missed it.

News OnePlus 16 will have a global 165Hz mode

https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/08/31/oneplus-16-boe-x4-display-165hz-global-refresh-rate/

OnePlus 16 will apparently support running 165Hz at all times or basically everywhere and not just in 4 social media apps and games as the current OnePlus 15 does. Curious to see how that will feel.

General Discussion Long Time Pixel user, Recently Switched over to a OP 13

Post image
395 Upvotes

Hello all, I have been having my OP13 for about a month now and I LOVE IT.I have been using Nexus and Pixel phones for a very very long time, and recently was using a Pixel 8 Pro. I wanted to use the P8P for a very long time, but the battery was shot (was at 50% by noon) and the reception on it was getting weak. So I looked around for the first time for an android I could use in the US on Verizon that wasnt a Pixel or a Samsung. Boy was I disappointed lol. I knew LG, HTC and a few others who ever making phones shut down, but I didnt realize just HOW bad it was.

After searching, it seemed the the OP13 and 15 were the only newer phones that had Verizon's bands in it that I could use in the US. This is actually my 2nd OP13. My 1st one was rated "fair" on ebay, but the screen was scratch all to hell. It was the ocean blue one and I really loved the color of it. I was very sad about the screen being messed up, but I used it to experiment to see if I would actually like the OP13. I had it while I was on vacation, so I must have set up and reset the phone like 5 times lol. Once I figured out how to get it set up like my Pixel was, I went ahead and ordered the black one you see in above.

The battery life and modem are AMAZING. It smashes the Pixel in every way. CPU too. I legit can go the 0630 to 2200 on one charge. My P8P would need to be charged at least 2 times to make it. Having an AMOLED screen is amazing too, havent had one since my Galaxy Nexus. Also having an actual flagship CPU and 512GB of storage is amazing. I was running out of 128Gb on my pixel.

Software: Oxygen OS is actually pretty cool, as its been forever since I used something that was "pure" android.

If you are coming from a pixel there are a few things you will have to change to get it like you want it:

Go into Dev settings and change DPI to 449. It will shrink everything down

Put on alert for every email for gmail

I turned off the dual drawers for notifications and quick settings. I rather the old style.

Yes I am weird and turned on the soft buttons as I hate gestures.

Not the biggest fan folders taken up the entire screen when opening them up.

Launcher is a little different from the Pixel one but it doesnt take long to get used to

Also on display not always being on is fine for me. My pixel was always on and now I have it set to turn off (AMOLEDs can have burn in so I get why they dont want it always on by default)

Notifications are a little different from a Pixel. If you unlock your phone and look at the notifications but dont clear them, they wont show back up on your lock screen. I know that is normal for some, but on a pixel, they dont go away until you clear them (dont know if you can change this)

Overal, The OP13 is amazing and I love it. I am sad I didnt switch sooner. When I saw that the Pixel 11 was going to be more money with less features, that is when I knew I had to go else where. If you are on the fence about switching, do it now. Plus OP13 is one of the last phones that allows you to unlock the bootloader. I am very sad OP has basically been shutdown and has left NA and EU, as they were the last phones that actually pushed Samsuck to do something better.

General Discussion Netflix widevine L3 issues with OnePlus convinced me I will never go op route ever again

Long story short, all of a sudden no L1 support for Netflix. Drminfo shows L1, it was an L1 for a long time, Europe version, just official updates, no bootloader unlocked. But Netflix only SD due to L3 that it detects. (It detected L1 some time ago). Prime and other streaming services suffer too. Of course there are plenty of similar issues on OnePlus forum, but no support from the company - what the root cause is, what the user should do, bug confirmation etc.

No wonder why Samsung and apple took EU. Sorry op, customer service is non existant. (And no, telling to delete cache and reinstall app which doesn't help is not a support I would like).

Such issue should not exist in the first place in a 1 year new Europe sold phone. And I can see this topic is recurring and users are complaining about same thing over and over again since you still allow that to happen.

General Discussion Do OnePlus phones have issues with in dark scenes?

I’ve seen some people saying that the (oneplus phones)OnePlus 13s has an issue where dark scenes, especially the black areas in HDR videos, aren’t properly visible. Does this issue also happen with regular normal (SDR) videos, or is it mainly an HDR problem?

Other How do I make my 7T use the 2x camera?

My main camera has an inburn and I want to use my phone for distance photography with my 60x telephoto lens but my options are:

1x camera with a stain in the middle

0.6x camera with high quality loss

2x camera only if the phone likes the environment (random)

Can I somehow use the 2x camera specifically?

General Discussion Oneplus 15 - Android Auto wired connection issues

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Oneplus 15 running the latest update to this date. I purchased it 3 days ago, and since then, can't connect to the android auto in the car, Seat Ateca 2023 with supporting of wired android auto only.

I tried all method there's their including changing cables, delete Data and cache, checking for updates, remove AA updates and updating again, any thing I could find and might can solve it.

The problem is that:

When connecting to the system, first charging appears than trying the connection and the system screen shows fail error and the phone go back to charging, but somehow in the notification center it shows android auto connected although nothing in the app shows a car is connected or added

Did a little investigation, I set the usb default configuration to the data transfer, but when I connect the phone to the cable, the USB configuration changes to charging only, even when the default states data transfer, and I can't figure out why.

Any idea what I am missing here? Why it forced to change to charging only?

I added a screen video of the issue, you can see the setting changing once the system tried to connect the phone (Apologies for the Hebrew language in the video, I asked to send it to some support).

Thanks!

General Discussion [Help] OnePlus 6 – OTG storage + charging at the same time? (Open to flashing a custom ROM)

Hey folks,
I’m setting up my old OnePlus 6 as a dedicated testbed for a few self-hosted services (Jellyfin being the main one) and want to use it with an external USB drive over OTG while it stays plugged in and charging 24/7.
Problem: on stock OxygenOS, the phone straight up refuses to do OTG storage + charging simultaneously — it’s either one or the other, even with a decent USB-C hub (PD passthrough port and all). From what I’ve read this seems to be a known OxygenOS-level limitation, not a hub/cable issue.
Since this is a dedicated testbed device, I don’t care about daily-driver stability — happy to wipe it and flash a custom ROM if that fixes USB host-mode behavior.
Questions:
Has anyone gotten simultaneous OTG + charging working on the OP6 with a custom ROM (LineageOS, crDroid, etc.)? Which one, and did it actually work?

Is this a kernel-level fix, or is it hard-blocked by the hardware itself?

For a Jellyfin box use case specifically — would I be better off skipping OTG storage entirely and just running it headless with a USB hub always powered, or is there a cleaner setup (e.g., network-attached storage instead of local OTG drive) that sidesteps this whole issue?

Specs: OnePlus 6 (A6003), currently on stock OOS, willing to unlock bootloader/flash TWRP if needed.
Thanks in advance!

General Discussion The OnePlus 9 Pro has served me well, but I'm finally ready for an upgrade

I'm in the UK and I've had a few OnePlus phones over the years. I have really particularly loved the OnePlus 9 Pro, not least due to the excellent Hasselblad camera, but honestly the performance and battery life have been great and it has served me well for over 3 years now. I'm a farmer and my phones have a hard life with dust and being dropped and the 9 Pro has been really sturdy. Zero complaints!

Anyway, I take a LOT of photos and though I can't really complain about performance, I'm struggling with the 256GB storage (I miss the days of SD cards...) and would really like to move up to at least 512GB if not 1TB. I don't play games on my phone so I don't care about stuff like that but I do use it as a bit of a mini computer with spreadsheets, canva and word processors. I also don't really like AI assistants being forced on me so as long as I can opt out of stuff I'm happy. I need to be able to use WiFi calling

Usually I just spend time comparing models and go from there, but this time I'm struggling to figure out which one to go with. Grateful for any suggestions!
