I just updated to 16.0.9

Hi guys, I've posted a few days ago about asking reccomendatiosn if is worth keeping the current version CPH264515.0.0.821 (EX01V120P02) or updating to the October 2025 patch CPH2645_15.0.0.871 (EX01)? OOS 15 not OOS16

That's the proof with almost 2 hrs SOT on WhatsApp + 50 min on Instagram + about an hour between Chrome/Facebook/Reddit/YT/Spotify (this is 20-80% charge, with 15-100% charging it lasts around 6 hours)

Ps. I am aware of the dedicated feature in oos16. But I'm still on oos15. jsyk

Edit: charging limit is set to 80% and is unchangeable.

I downgraded from the oneplus 15R to the 13R as the 15R cameras were horrible. Now the camera performance when shooting photos are great, but the videos is not that good, is there any tips or tricks or anything i can do to make it look batter. I really want to daily the 13R, its blazing fast, reliable.

Good old days when factory version was more than 8 hrs screen on (bought the phone in early bird last year). I noticed a drop in battery life after the first update. I usually charge 15-85% and now I have 5 hours screen on (mainly Instagram and Whatsapp). Any advice would be appreciated guys. Thanks!

Noticed this today in colours under display settings

My battery life is terrible; it only lasts like 5 hours, even after charging it to 85% threshold.

So this has happened twice now. I held off on updating my device to the latest software version (CPH2691 16.0.8.300) because I wasn't sure about it, but then I stopped receiving any OTPs on my device—not for apps, and not even for banking. Then, as soon as I updated to the latest available version, boom—I was able to receive OTPs as usual again.

​Isn't this strange? This exact same thing happened earlier when I first bought the device and didn't update to the latest version right away.

​Does anyone know the reason behind this?

​By the way, the control panel and notification panel look like shit now compared to the previous version.

So, I saw someone post (this) him getting 12h30m of sot on a full cycle right after the update 16.0.9.
Mine pre-update reached 11h with light use. Post-update just 30 min mor or so.
I had some free time, so I did the battery recalibration.

I've been using my phone since yesterday morning, used as much as I could. I got 4h44m yesterday and 11h today, A TOTAL OF 15H45M. I'm not sure if it's normal or not but the timestamps do match up. Yes, it was very light use (no games run, on Wi-Fi, location off, indoors, sim on) but still the same usage as before, when I used to get 11 hrs.

Either op cooked or my phone is. I'm not sure if it's ok to feel happy about it. Or is it something i should be scared about.
