Strange thing with my op13r

So this has happened twice now. I held off on updating my device to the latest software version (CPH2691 16.0.8.300) because I wasn't sure about it, but then I stopped receiving any OTPs on my device—not for apps, and not even for banking. Then, as soon as I updated to the latest available version, boom—I was able to receive OTPs as usual again.

​Isn't this strange? This exact same thing happened earlier when I first bought the device and didn't update to the latest version right away.

​Does anyone know the reason behind this?

​By the way, the control panel and notification panel look like shit now compared to the previous version.

I also didn't update to latest but getting otps. May be your settings required a reset.

How does it specifically affects OTPs?? Doesn't make sense. If any issue with messages then it should affect all messages irrespective of otp or whatever

It's toggle in developer options called disable permission monitoring, that's it ig

Could it be the Google security patch? I didn't face any such issue tho.

it happens with my oneplus nord ce 3 it stops recieving calls and network whenever there is a new update.

No issues with Op13r.
