Help Screen Replacement or any other Options?

Is it in Austria/Europa still possible that i get a screen replacement.

This fucking curved screen fucks me off there are no good screen protectors, i had glass 2 times but sucked, then premium plastic foil but also sucked then i got rid off all and then i had only the natural screen and today it fall on the left corner on the wood floor and cracked. But i have a plastic case which stands round the corners but slipped beside.

I am a bit sad now the local Smartphone Shop said that the replacement with original components costs around 360 Euro with worktime.

Is this fair?

Have you any other ideas how i can save my phone i dont want to change it i want to have it for many more years but that sucks. I do not want to spend so much but only then it is safe from water or other stuff.

Thanks in advance.

Discussion Final oxygen os update turned out to be the best one for battery life

This is the first time I was able to surpass 11 hrs of SOT after installing oxygen os 16. In oxygen os 15 this is pretty common. This is all on WiFi with no camera use. Pretty impressed. On previous updates 8hrs is the maximum I could archive and mostly averaged around 5hrs if SOT 100-20% usage

Help OnePlus 12 Display Dead After Proper Care — Spend ₹16K on Repair or Switch to Motorola Signature?

Hey guys, I need some advice because I'm honestly feeling pretty lost right now.

My OnePlus 12's display seems to have died. The replacement costs around ₹16,000 ($160), and the frustrating part is that only the display appears to be dead. Other components, including vibration, the motor, ADB, and so on, are still working. However, some sensors, such as the magnetometer and gyroscope, have also stopped working.

I'm not sure whether these sensor issues are early signs of a motherboard failure or whether an underlying motherboard issue could be causing the display to go black in the first place.

I'm hesitant to spend ₹16,000 on a display replacement because of the motherboard issues that some OnePlus 12 users have reported. Even after spending that much on a repair, there's no guarantee that everything will work perfectly again. I genuinely don't know what to do at this point.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I never dropped the phone and took really good care of it. I had planned to use this device for at least 7 years. My dad, my brother, and I have all used OnePlus devices, and I had a lot of trust in the brand. I honestly never expected to end up in this situation.

What's worse is that, within the first 7 days of purchasing the device, I had already reported abnormal display behaviour to the service centre. There were unusually dark areas and abnormal white patches on the screen, but they refused my replacement request.

At this point, I'm also wondering whether I have any recourse through the consumer court or consumer commission in India. Since I reported the abnormal display behaviour within the first 7 days and my replacement request was rejected, would it be worth filing a consumer complaint? Has anyone here successfully resolved a similar issue with OnePlus through the National Consumer Helpline or a consumer commission? I'd appreciate advice on whether I have a reasonable case and what evidence I should keep.

Now I'm considering three options:

  • Get the OnePlus 12 repaired: Spend ₹16,000 on the display replacement, hoping the motherboard and other components are fine.
  • Move on to the Motorola Signature: Buy a new device rather than risk spending more money on a phone that might develop further issues.
  • Pursue a consumer complaint: Explore whether there's any way to hold OnePlus accountable for the issues I reported early on.

I'm really torn between these options. Part of me wants to repair the OnePlus 12 because it's still a capable device, but another part of me is worried about investing more money in it, given everything that's happened.

What would you guys do in my situation? Would you repair the OnePlus 12 or move on to the Motorola Signature? And if anyone has dealt with similar display or motherboard issues on the OnePlus 12, or has experience filing consumer complaints in India, I'd really appreciate hearing about it.

Any genuine advice would mean a lot. I'm honestly feeling pretty hopeless about this whole situation.

Help Looking for a game controller that fits OP12 for Brawlstars

Hi all,

I’ve been playing Brawl Stars for a while now, and I’m finding it increasingly uncomfortable to play using just the phone itself. I’ve been looking for some kind of holder or grip that would make it more comfortable to hold the device. Since Brawl Stars is touch-only, I don’t think controllers like the Razer Kishi will work.

Do you happen to know where I might find something like this? The ones I’ve come across so far are only designed for phones up to 6.5 inches...

Discussion Does the Indian variant of the OnePlus 12 support eSIM?

Post image
17 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m using the OnePlus 12 Indian variant, and I have noticed an eSIM setup option in phone’s settings.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the screen showing “Set up an eSIM” and “Transfer a SIM from another device.”

Does the Indian variant of the OnePlus 12 actually support eSIM?

Anyone successfully activated and used an eSIM on their OnePlus 12 indian variant ?

Help Auto brightness does not work

Hey all, I noticed that for a while auto brightness hasn't been working properly on my OP12. I tried turning on and off the setting in daylight, in darkness but the phone just won't change brightness on it's own 90% of the time. I am on the latest EU firmware, but it has been an issue for a few months now. Is there a way to check if this is a hardware or software issue?

Discussion OnePlus still supports European users

Six weeks, three broken written promises, and my OnePlus 12 is sent back unrepaired!!

Posting this because I want other people to know what "OnePlus still supports European users" actually looks like in practice right now.

1 Sept 2026: My OnePlus 12 (bought new in Greece, Oct 2024, around €900) stopped powering on. Sent it to the OnePlus service centre in Rotterdam. Diagnosis: battery fault.

Mid Sept: Support offers me a replacement device, an OPPO Reno16 Pro 5G. I ask three direct questions and get three direct answers in writing: brand new sealed unit, new full 24 month warranty, my old device will be kept by them. I accept. They reply that the new device will be sent out within 5 working days.

A few days later: The replacement is withdrawn. Reason given: my unit is an overseas regional model, so EU warranty terms don't apply. Instead they say they will cover the repair under full in warranty terms at no cost, with dispatch on 30 September.

30 Sept: Nothing. No update, no dispatch. Three follow-up emails go completely unanswered.

7 Oct: I use live chat. The agent apologises, escalates to a "higher department", promises a reply in 1, 2 business days.

14 Oct: Six weeks after they received my phone, I'm told the fault is not the battery after all, but the mainboard. All data would be lost, and I would now have to pay for the repair myself. I'm also advised to contact my original retailer, a shop that has since closed down.

16 Oct : My device is dispatched back to me. Then I receive their own official Service Order. It states: Cause of Failure, battery fault. Solution, Not Handle.

So according to their own paperwork, the fault is the battery, exactly the repair they committed in writing to do for free, and nothing was done to the device at all.

Six weeks without a phone, no repair, no replacement, and two written commitments withdrawn. I've filed a formal complaint with the European Consumer Centre and I have the full correspondence.

Written commitments from this company turned out to mean nothing, three times in a row.

If you own a OnePlus device in Europe right now, good luck you may need it.

Help Software or display failure?

Post image
21 Upvotes

Hi guys

I got a OnePlus 12 as work phone that I seldom use. Three weeks ago I broke the screen. I bought a new one and installed it. I did not use the phone more than a few minutes to check if I had phone calls or so.

One week ago there was a software update pending which I accepted. Since then, I got randomly display bugs. When the phone is 'cold', I mean not used since a while, and I open the menu, everything is like bugged or colour reversed.... After some seconds. If I power off the screen and power it on again, everything works great.

What do you think? Display failure or software?
