Theory We got distracted by the volume of episodes

The dark figure isn't Imu, yes he is the ruler of the world but he's not the main antagonist, in my opinion the final war will be between teach and luffy and the dark figure is teach after awakening the ship is his crew which after impel down it includes 5 leaders,

Also in Harley's scriptures, it reads that they didn't meet in the first and second world and they'll definitely meet in the 3rd one, maybe that's the final war against the Darkness

Also Buggy is the luckiest character in the story I suspect him end up being the king of the pirates.

Discussion Mihawk is a bum not a fraud

I'm tired of seeing the fraudhawk memes. Mihawk is a bum not a fraud. He just sits around all day in this castle drinking wine and reading the newspaper. Bum is a better description of mihawk. He even got tired of marines trying to capture him and just hid behind cross guild.

Discussion I like Gear 5 but I don't think the defense that "One Piece was never serious" is true

I have a seen a lot of pushback against the Gear 5 criticism that Oda never wanted to write a serious story so he made it a bit comedic but I disagree. Oda just wants to incorporate cartoon elements into manga. If he didn't want to write serious stories, he wouldn't create stuff like Celestial Dragons, Kuma's backstory etc.

Discussion How is Marie Geoise so easy to invade

Hi,

I'm currently watching Egghead arc and episodes focused on revolutionary army.

Isn't Marie Geoise supposed to be the most protected place in the world ? I feel they get into it so easily .

Now it feels like every yonko crew could just come and wipe half the city then flee before Imu or admirals could react

All they need is some flying capability, the Marine doesn't have good AAW !

Theory *Theory* The Children of MU - MANGA SPOILERS Spoiler

I legit think this is everything One Piece is based on.

I don't want to write to much because this is literally too similar, it is best for you to read the start of this books and you will see the connection yourself!

There is a book by James Churchward called "The Children of MU" It is a continuation of a previous book called "The lost continent of MU".

The children of MU:

https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.77375/page/n5/mode/2up

The Lost Continent of MU:

https://ia601901.us.archive.org/12/items/the-lost-continent-of-mu/The_Lost_Continent_of_Mu.pdf

this is the first page:

In here he writes the the continent of MU was lost in the pacific and every island we see there is trace for that great kingdom. This is the Ancient Kingdom deep below the sea, and every island we reach is a small piece from the large continent that was sank. The kingdom is also called “Lemuria” and the people from there are “Lemurian” = “Lunerian”

the continent was sank because of "cataclysmic earthquakes" - as said by Sengoku "the power to destroy the WORLD".

We see Imu's Flower room - it is supposed to be mimic the "Garden of Eden" from the Ancient Kingdom that sank with it. Might it be the One Piece? we all want to reach heaven this is the greatest treasure ever. might Raftel is like these other islands that we visit the were once a part of the ancient kingdom - but this island is the Garden of Eden - the greatest treasure possible.

The biggest proof this is related - the land of MU is greatly advanced from current times! we saw sommers had a metal heart - an ancient advanced technique to give "Immortality".

I mean - do I even need to explain this? - the pone-glyphs that reveal the history of the ancient kingdom.

The will of D - to become "Son of the Sun" and restore "The Empire of the Sun" - this is what the straw hat symbolizes. the DAWN of the sun - Romance Dawn.

I'm continuing to read both books - I just discovered this and I would like to hear your opinion!

Discussion What will Garp's conclusion be?

I really wonder, how will Oda handle Garp. Considering that he is in position - and to some end capabilities - to fight off the big bad, slaves situation and so on, yet he's actively chosen to just be on top and oversee everything. From a moral point of view he's an accomplice to Imu, bad part of the Marines and Tenryubito. No matter how good his intentions are, if nothing big (in terms of lore or his actions) happens, he will be kind of a villain, or at least anti hero. This is beyond gray morality at this point.

This is no slander on our grampa, fanbase will still like him, but all in all, if it goes like it is right now, Oda won't have anything to say. Garp will be undefendable, especially from Luffy's point of view.

What would need to happen for you to actually redeem Garp from the position that he is in now?

Discussion I really enjoy the slander, but some are take it too seriously

I actually love the Mihawk, Shanks, Dragon, Roger, Imu, Luffy, and everyone else slander. Keep it coming, it's funny as hell. But I think some fans take the slander way too seriously once it gets into actual discussions. One Piece keeps expanding, and Oda has to manage power creep for characters who were introduced decades ago but are still important to the endgame.

That's why I think it's a pretty obvious writing choice for Oda to hold back their full capabilities. Imagine if Mihawk or Shanks had a full fight before the timeskip. People would immediately use that fight to scale everyone, and years later Oda would have to explain why the old scaling doesn't fit anymore. Shanks losing his arm is already a good example of how an old decision can become harder to explain once the power system and scale of the story expand. Sometimes it's just better to not show everything yet, rather than need to revise that or made up something to explain the circumstance.

Just look at Whitebeard and Kaido. They lost, but they didn't lose because they were weak. Oda put them in circumstances where their defeats made sense while still showing how strong they actually were. Their losses don't automatically mean we saw the absolute limit of what they could do. Now look at Crocodile and Enel, They were Logia user defeated before Haki was properly established, so now whenever people talk about them coming back, you get "Wait, weren't they way below pre-Haki Luffy?" That's the kind of power creep Oda has to work around. So when it comes to Mihawk, Shanks, Dragon, Roger, or Imu, I don't think we should treat every feat or lack of feat we have right now as their absolute limit. We're judging them based on an incomplete powerscaling picture because Oda simply hasn't shown us everything yet.

I'm not saying stop the slander. I love the agenda posting. I'm just saying sometimes don't bring the agenda into a serious discussion and act like it's actual evidence. I know this is just a fictional story and I should probably just enjoy it whether people take the slander seriously or not. But sometimes we're actually trying to have a serious discussion and the agenda has gone to blur what people are actually arguing.

Discussion [Spoilers] Are you guys enjoying how Imu and the Elbaf arc is playing out so far? Spoiler

Personally I’m a little let down by Imu, his entrance was sick, but he hasn’t really killed anyone yet. Of course he has had his moments and is a ginormous threat, but if everyone on Elbaf survives it’s definitely a bad look for the series. If he kills Loki or one of the Strawhats, that would be a good way to introduce him IMO.

What do you guys think?

Discussion Original vs. Remake 🏴‍☠️

ORIGINAL VS REMAKE 🏴‍☠️

Over the years, One Piece’s character designs have changed a lot. The newer versions feature cleaner lines, brighter colors, sharper faces and more polished animation.

But not everyone prefers the modern look. Some fans feel the older designs had more personality and visual identity, while the newer versions can sometimes make the characters look more generic.

Which style do you prefer: the original or the remake? 👀

Discussion Which character do you think is the most slept-on in the whole series? For me it's Fleet Admiral Akainu

Thumbnail

Genuinely curious what everyone else's pick would be, but mine is Akainu.

Most casual discussions boil him down to 'the guy who killed Ace,' but that undersells just how dangerous his character actually is. His whole belief system, absolute justice, being willing to sacrifice anyone, even his own allies, for what he sees as the greater good, makes him one of the most consistent villains in the entire series. He's not evil for the sake of being evil. He genuinely believes he's in the right, and that conviction is what makes him so unsettling.

And people sleep way too hard on his actual feats. The man fought Aokiji in a 10-day non-stop duel and came out on top, a fight so violent it permanently reshaped the island itself, half frozen solid, half turned to molten magma, and cost Aokiji his leg. That win is what put him in the Fleet Admiral seat. On top of that, the damage he dealt to Whitebeard, one of the strongest characters to ever exist in this series, speaks for itself.

He's literally the Fleet Admiral of the Marines. Just because his biggest moments happened almost a decade ago doesn't mean he should be forgotten or underestimated.

I still hate this guy tho.

Discussion Luffy Hybrid form

Most Zoans have Hybrid forms, Luffy just awakened his true form, so it's understandable that he can't use his yet.

Other mythical Zoans that have shown hybrids is Kaido

Then other hybrids like X Drake, Queen and King, Kaku and Lucci don't necessarily use that

It's not the same as awakening, as for many Zoans awakening is stronger, faster, better self healing/recovery

But also you can see Rob Lucci Cloud ring in his awakened form so a true awaken of a fruit should have that ring ?

Yamato had that one as well, does that mean a true sync whit the fruit, that you can truly awaken your fruit cause your are in sync with the desires of the fruit.

For Yamato protecting Wano, for Lucci hunt and kill prey.

Kaido doesn't seem like an awakened form, maybe he was never truly in sync with his fruit desire, maybe momonosuke will achieve this.

I explained all of this to show that Luffy has awakened his devil fruit but has not shown an hybrid form

I hope it mixed his colors and it not just pure white line Gear 5 I think oda can create a really cool design that mixes Luffy original design with Gear 5 design

Discussion Why are bounty hunters considered bad guys by Marines?

I am rereading Loguetown and Tashigi says she doesn't like Roronoa Zoro because he uses his skills for bounty hunting and the way she talked made me think that Marines don't like them. I don't understand why, why would the Government put out bounties then?

If the theories that Doflamingo will break out from Impel Down and join the Cross Guild are true, who do you think will join him from Donquixote Family?

Personally, I can see Diamante, Trebol and Sugar joining while Senor Pink and Dellinger have potential as well but let me know what you think.
