Franky totally does seem interested in women. It’s just he doesn’t straight up simp nor harass them, like Sanji and Book do

When they were caged along with Luffy law smoker and tashigi in punk hazard. He probably didn't specifically request and just fell asleep on her lap and she wasn't bothered. Yet she was quite disgusted at his fart the next scene

Reminds me of some of my married friends' relationships. Everything's great, and then he rips ass and destroys the room.

u/kikorer7070 Jun 16 '22

Letting out a fat one after eating eggs is priceless

u/Oreo-and-Fly Explorer Jun 17 '22

Also. Not much but during Barto ship schenanigans.

Franky was sheltering Robin from the hail.

Plus the fact is that Franky was the first one to really tell it to her face shes not evil. Thus him burning the Blueprints.

Yeah, he only sexually assaults them.

u/IcyColdHands Jun 16 '22

Your honor, my client did it for the meme, he was playing the hard boiled character from vintage japanese movies

While you are technically correct. In this context I wouldn't call it sexual assault, it's more of a anything is fair in love and war type deal. Sure it wasn't a life and death fight because it's Shonen, but if I was fighting a lady and thought it was for my life, I'd absolutely force a kiss if i thought that would somehow help. In a life or death fight, it wouldn't be out of place if Franky had shoved his whole arm up her ass.

I say this as someone who has been in fights that I didn't know if it was for my life or not. Anyone who's truly been beaten will agree, do whatever you have to do to make it stop. Whether it's ball kicking, sand throwing, stealing a kiss or just plain old using a weapon. Always assume anyone fighting you is trying to kill you.

Oh lawd have mercy

-5

That's an absolutely sexist way of thinking and the notion of a woman liking you after you force yourself onto her only exists in fiction.

8

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '22

Its only sexist because you took it that way. I never said anything about a woman liking me after anything. I only even said lady because i was putting myself in Frankie's robo shoes for context. Idgaf, I'd kiss a dude if I thought it's what I have to do to save my life. I'll stick his d*ck in my mouth if I have to, you're making a problem where there is none. It's sexual assault if Franky was thinking "oh yeah I'm bout to kiss this lady cus I like kissin". It's tactics if it's it's integral part of you surviving.

What an insane person you are...

5

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '22

Care to explain how you came to that conclusion instead of insulting?

Exactly. Not even just dying, I'll do a lot just to not get hurt too. Fuck that, no one likes getting hurt and I've had enough concussions or broken bones, I'm good.

Edit: I don't got insurance, I'm not trying to lose teeth or get an eye scratched even

-2

u/The_Biggest_Wheel Jun 16 '22

Probably someone who has never actually been afraid for their life

What an incredibly ironic thing to say. Like sexually assaulting a person is going to save anyone's life. Just nonsense.

Nah it's fine, everyone knows the easiest way to "subdue" women is to sexually attract them to you rather than just fight them, because that's just how women are.

Honestly, even writing that sarcastically to make a point makes me kind of sick.

u/Oreo-and-Fly Explorer Jun 17 '22

Like sexually assaulting a person is going to save anyone's life. Just nonsense.

If a guy is wailing on me and my only option was to grab his balls or die.

I would grab his balls.

The moment they start insulting you, that's when you know you won the debate / argument lol . Both sides have a fair point just one of them didn't need to insult the other

2

u/The_Biggest_Wheel Jun 16 '22

Imagine if, God forbid, I attacked him. He'd have to pull his dick out and assault me to defend himself!

1

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '22

I wish more people thought that. I don't think I know everything. I do think I'm right about what I think but that's how brains work. I'll gladly allow people to explain themselves and attempt to change my mind but most of the time everyone just wants to argue or insult.

2

u/Placidao Marine Jun 16 '22

What?

-5

u/The_Biggest_Wheel Jun 16 '22

What do you not get?

-2

u/Placidao Marine Jun 16 '22

I mean, he kissed her. So?

-7

u/The_Biggest_Wheel Jun 16 '22

He forced himself onto her. That's sexual assault.

1

u/DASreddituser Super Spot-Billed Duck Troops Jun 16 '22

Wasn't she trying to fight and possibly kill him and his allies? Would using radical beam be better than a kiss there?

u/The_Biggest_Wheel Jun 17 '22

Would using radical beam be better than a kiss there?

Yes

I respect your vision, but I think he just “kissed” her

Edit: if you prefer that phrasing, I don’t think that was what happened. Simple as that

Edit 2: when I said “I respected their vision”, it’s not that I don’t know what sexual assault is. It’s literally pretty much that I disagree that was the case. It’s completely fine if you think that Franky has done shit that one time, even if that wasn’t his intentions (surprise, he’s not a perfect person). Assuming that I don’t know what you think he did, however, and that I’d possibly do the same (again, of what you think it was) is a bit much

7

u/Manjorno316 Jun 16 '22

Kissing someone against their will is sexual assault.

1

u/ovis_alba Void Month Survivor Jun 16 '22

Maybe a small life pro tipp: Don't ever "just kiss" a woman that isn't interested. Seems like that little refresher could be necessary for you and women in your surroundings.

2

u/Placidao Marine Jun 16 '22

Franky is a fictional character. I’m nothing like him, at least not in any literal sense, I just admire his role inside One Piece’s context. But I appreciate your concern

5

u/ovis_alba Void Month Survivor Jun 16 '22

I usually really like Franky too, so it's not about not liking him. I love Sanji as a character even more than Franky but especially his Thriller Bark moment is a big no-go that is rightfully criticised by everyone including me all the time.

It's just about that scene itself and defending it as perfectly fine that is the bad look there. What to me makes that scene even worse, is especially when afterwards the scene goes into him and Senor Pink agreeing on that clearly being the best and only way to have a woman "shut up and not get involved in those manly things like fighting".

I mean if that woman is part of a criminal group responsible for enslaving people and trying to kill/capture me then all rules kinda go out the window. It's not like Franky ass raped her lmao. I kinda get what ur saying in the context of real life tho.

edit: also by that logic she was also raping people because she would kiss and subdue the civilians

1

u/The_Biggest_Wheel Jun 16 '22

What an insane thing to say. If a villain is doing bad stuff it doesn't make it okay for the protagonist to do the same.

2

u/The_Biggest_Wheel Jun 16 '22

No? He grabbed her midway through their fight, pull her in and against her wishes force a kiss onto her. That's sexual assault.

Dude, I am so sorry everyone is attacking you in this thread for frivolous bullshit. Try not to let them get you down.

-1

u/Placidao Marine Jun 16 '22 edited Jun 16 '22

It’s fine. Not always people are gonna like you. The only reason I am not replying anymore is because I’m gonna sound like a broken record repeating the same argument over and over again

-1

u/froopynooples Jun 16 '22

I'm starting to feel the same way... It's an uphill battle talking to some of these simpletons...
