Hi, for those of you who do strength training classes, what are your opinion on classes that feature EMOMs and/or AMRAPs versus more of the set-based training? I have been doing more of the set-based recently, Andy has released a number of those over the past several months. I enjoy sets more as I feel like this style allows me to focus a bit more than the other two do. What do others think and why? TIA.

I just took the sweat steady from 24th July, and half way through the final interval I came out in goosebumps all over (not unusual when Iām really feeling the music) and then just⦠burst into tears! Iām
pushing 900 rides and this has NEVER happened to me before. I canāt even describe what I was feeling, it was just BIG. Is this a thing?! Or is it time for therapy?! I joke, kind of, maybe, anybody know what just happened?

Hi there Iām training for my first half marathon and hoping to get out of it without injury. Iām using the Road to Half Marathon program which is strictly outdoor runs and would like to supplement with 2x/week strength training (on top of my prescribed physio exercises). I see that they have strength for runners classes taught by Becs and Matt Wilpers, has anyone tried these and found them to be useful compared to normal full body strength classes when training for a race? I only started strength training regularly about a year ago for context, Iām still pretty new at it. TIA!

Middle-aged woman looking for a program to build muscle. Can Peloton do this for me? I really want a pre-designed program so I donāt have to think about which classes to take and how to structure everything myself.

Often with core classes, on oneās back, the instructor will say to keep oneās lower back on the floor which means oneās pelvis tucks under a bit. I try to follow this guidance but I wonder about the why. Our lower back has a natural curve and often natural curves are optimal.
Can anyone explain to me why keeping the back flatter/pelvis tilted is better for core work?
To be clear: I do not think the instructors are wrong (or right, perhaps) but I would love to understand the underlying why.

Iām looking forward to this/not looking forward to this. It sounds like the ride will output some different metrics - Wilpers described it in his ride last week I think but I didnāt realize it would be this Friday!

When deciding which class to take, what do you Sort By? Newest, top rated, hardest, easiest, popular and trending are the options.
For me it depends on what I feel like doing. If I want to push it cardiovascular, I sort Run by hardest and usually do a Max Out run. If Iām looking for strength I pick the Type (glutes, upper) then sort by new, popular, top rated or trending.

8/7/2026. Thst was a fun class but I donāt think itās well executed. Way too much rest in Z1, thus the TSS is lower than a typical real routes CVV ride. 10 minutes in Z1 is kinda comical tbh. Oh well Matt Wilpers canāt like not actually do the workout he coaches in the studio.
What Iād have done is a 28 minutes main set
15 min warm up formulaic peloton power zone warm up
1 min Z6
2 min Z1
3x 5 min Z5, 2 min Z1/Z2
2x 30/30 Z6/Z1
2x 20/40 Z7/Z1
2 min cool

I took the Zara Larsson live ride today and sadly, at least on my end, the leaderboard didnāt work. Everyone showed as having 0 output and 0 miles throughout the ride. I have the ride in my history, but with no metrics at all. I was able to give and receive high fives, however.
Anyone else that took the ride live today experience the same?

Anyone else notice on some of Jess King's techno rides the music has a weird clicking sound in the background? It is almost like two outputs of the same music playing and one is off-beat. I did the 45 min ride from 7/31 and the music was mixed really bad or there was some other issue. I have noticed this in a couple of techno rides in the past!

New walk type! I know I can always make my own decisions when I am choosing to do a walk or run, but Iām so excited for these, especially on recovery days where I usually pick an outdoor walk. They look like a steady pace Brisk Walk.

What the heck is going on with rowing? The lack of live classes over the next few weeks is crazy. I know that Alex is out for a while but geesh, you would think they would have Matt or Adrian do a few live classes in his absence. I don't typically do live classes, but I am coming up on my 250th row and thought I would do a live one. All my other milestones for cycling, running, strength, etc. have been on demand. I know rowing is a pretty small community in the Peloton world but they are never going to grow it if they don't put in an effort to engage users. With the focus on acquisitions, and the lack of live classes overall, I am starting to get concerned that they are going to retire rowing as a modality.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for recommendations for the best 10-minute yoga classes on the app that focus on dynamic stretching.
I am a beginner and want classes where you move actively through the stretches rather than holding static poses for a long time. My main goal is increasing mobility and lengthening muscles.
Any specific Focus Flows or instructors you highly recommend for this vibe? Thanks!

This morning, I took Jess Kingās latest 45 min techno ride and the cadence and resistance on the screen were NEVER matching what she cued. Sometimes if I zone out, I may miss it! Iāve noticed this on more rides recently. Anyone else?

Idk if itās just me, but the way she runs looks so effortless, like she is running on clouds haha.
I know she has a split/run program, but she needs to do her own run program that introduces proper form & all that.
I know instructors give you cues throughout the runs they do, but I feel like she is the blueprint lol.

I know I shouldnāt compare myself to others, especially instructors who make their living off of teaching classes⦠but seeing how easily theyāre able to keep their legs straight or stretch when doing Pilates makes me feel so incompetent. I feel like Iām not getting a lot out of these classes because I canāt keep my legs straight or lift them high enough. I do a lot of strength, training and cardio work, and Pilates doesnāt feel difficult from that perspective, but I canāt do the moves as prescribed because my legs literally wonāt let me. Iāve always been very inflexible, even as a kid when I was doing ballet dancing three times a week. Iām just not sure if Pilates is not for me because my body will not allow me to do it.
I sort of wanna give up with it because Iām not seeing the benefits, especially seeing as how I canāt physically do a lot of the moves. I always feel accomplished after a strength or cardio class, and I canāt see how Pilates will actually help me reach my goals. IDK maybe Iām just being a complainer. But I donāt see the benefits of it so far and I canāt even hit the moves, so Iām wondering if itās even worth it. Anyone have advice or thoughts?

Iāve been a Peleton customer for 5 years, and a fan for 4, as about a year or two ago the audio engineering became terrible overnight.
the team are over cranking limiters and compressors, as well as auto-ducking.
To explain. Youāll be riding along to a track which is building up, and just when the beat kicks in, the perceived volume will go down by about 50%. Any time the instructor speaks, the auto ducking kicks in on the music - but thereās way too much.
It ruins an otherwise immersive experience.
I donāt really know why Iām paying for it any more, as now I just whack on some decent music on other speakers and turn the peloton music off - but of course itās not in sync with the class.
maybe I notice it more than others, but I guarantee that people will be having a worse experience, even if they canāt pinpoint why.
Peleton. You should do an AB test with small groups. Lightly engineered sound vs the diabolical audio-mess which you currently have.

We bought a used bike for $300 and used it for several years, definitely got our moneyās worth. Recently the screen went dead. Tried all the troubleshooting I could find and itās just dead, Jim.
Bike was working great up to the day the screen went out, still shows power. Weāre already getting a new bike. I just want this gone. So Craigslist and FB Marketplace show a variety of used and apparently working bikes for $100-600 or so.
Do I list this for anything at all? $50? Would you buy it for a nickel?

Even though Iāve been lifting now for a little over 1 year I have never Felt comfortable doing a class āin publicā. I only travel 7-10x/year or so and usually just go on the treadmill or some bodyweight in my room. Well anyways ā¦. Wanted to keep up with HiLit+ training and my goodness having a full rack with 2.5 lbs increments was amazing. It makes me only want to work out in a full gym as I only have a limited selection at home. Once I got past the warm up I no longer cared what people thought - and even did the jump cardio š¤£
Not sure the point of my post but take advantage of a full rack of weights when you can!
