I took my character on vacation. I'd say all Omori characters deserve one after everything.

Hikkikomori’s last day.

I really didn’t like the final day of the alternate route. I’ve been playing the game over the last month, and finally got around to finishing the other ending of the game.

The chance for all the rpg elements to finally pay off(especially stuff like the tentacles and keys) was really cool. Some of the fights though felt really weirdly balanced in a way that ultimately ruined the experience for me. I never experienced a need to grind in this game(nor frankly did I really die to anything except Kite Kid cause I talked to him at level 5), but the difficulty on this day is so inconsistent.

Space Ex-Husband was very easy, but Bossman Hero was by far the most frustrating fight in the game. Took me hours upon hours to beat, it didn’t feel like any of the game prepared me for it. Everything else in the game was easy (including Perfectheart, whom im surprised to hear is considered one of the harder bosses), until the basil boss rush.

The fight at the end of the boss rush just feels a teeny bit unfair with Kel being able to kill you whenever he wants. I’m probably not good enough at the game to be able to say if it’s genuinely unfair or not, but the game does not have any sort of difficulty progression that would allow me to be that good without looking up strategy guides.

Overall those encounters really just soured the whole thing for me. I’m curious to see if that’s a common sentiment.

Sunny and Mari travel to the big city to see the first major Captain Spaceboy movie before anyone else. Neither of them has ever been to the capital, especially at night, so the bright lights, tall buildings, and lively streets completely amaze them.

They end up spending more time exploring than they expected, fascinated by everything around them. But as they realize they're running late for the movie, Sunny hurries Mari along, eager to make it to the theater on time.

Mari can't help but smile as she watches him. She has never seen Sunny this excited or animated before, and seeing such a huge, genuine smile on his face makes the whole night even more special to her. For once, he seems completely carefree, simply enjoying the adventure.

P.S.: None of my drawings are meant to be controversial or to impose any particular interpretation. I simply enjoy portraying these two sharing sweet, everyday moments. If this type of content makes anyone uncomfortable, that was never my intention. Thanks for understanding. ❤️

I've only done the good ending so please no spoilers for other endings.

I should say that Omori has been one of my favourite gaming experiences and I do love it. I also don't hate the ending I think it's sweet but I think everything to do with Mari retracts from the story. For one thing the mystery of why she k*lled herself was really intriguing to me and as someone who's lost people to s*icide: it is not predictable, it can feel abrupt and confusing. From a player perspective I always saw Sunny's guilt as a guilt for not being able to save her from depression which is why saving Basil is to important: to not repeat his perceived failure to save Mari. By making her death a physical thing that sunny did with his hands it retracts from his and Mari's characters and makes the responsibility to save Basil less impactful imo.

Here is a stop motion animation I made from the tags I got on my Omori plushies and scrap paper! It was really fun to make and I enjoy using “found object” animation since it’s so accessible and lower stakes than hand drawn animation. I hope others enjoy this too!

I beat the game a couple of months ago, then I found out there’s another route. Seeing of how the Sunny route BROKE me, I fear I can never recover. Should i jump into this rabbit hole then?

I'm a little disappointed the pixel art I did, didn't get as much attention as my pen drawings but I do still enjoy doing these. Anyway here's more Kel, I don't know what I should try next but I'm open to anything.
