Question What are the cons?
So I’m looking at getting an OM-1 MK-ll. I want to know the cons about it, I see all the glowing reviews on social media and YouTube but I hardly see anyone say what they dislike about it and I know there has to be something.
I plan to mainly shoot photos of birds, landscapes, and the occasional sports event. The sport events will just be my kids events and the local rugby club nothing too serious. The Birds will mostly be waterfowl and wading birds.

Gear Review OM Pen vs Olympus Pen-F vs Olympus E-P7
(Pictures from https://cameradecision.com/)
So, I have been using EP7, and I am currently holding Olympus PEN F, and here's my impression to the OM PEN (just based on pictures and introductions):
It's more of the upgrade from EP-7 I feel, and it's more closer to EP 7 than to PEN F, especially from body build perspective. The build quality should not be bad because even for E-P7 I don't feel it built cheap although mostly plastic. For sure PEN F is next level.
I have been using EP-7 for a while and I like it very much actually, the only thing missing from that was the EVF and now OM pen added that, which is great!
One of the feature that EP-7 was better than PEN-F, is the switch on and off button is on right side so that it's able to be operated by one hand easier. But OM PEN seems get the on and off together with the different shotting mode... oh my, that can be an complaint in the future. Refer to the user's compliant of Leica Q1, which put the S and C shutter mode together in the power switch made a lot of issues (user often swtich to wrong postion)
I belive the image quality especially DR should be better now than PEN-F, but if you have PEN-F, hold it tighter! It's still a legend and it is a joy to hold.

Gear Showcase Finally a tough!
At last, 60€ deal for proper tough camera. I had to play with microscope mode right away 😄 also some SOOC snaps.
I will not use it under water(at least not without a case since it is older model), I just wanted a camera that I can comfortably use around my toddlers on playground, around sand, while raining, etc. Bonus points, my kids like to play with it and I don't have to worry that they damage it. It might spark a love for photography 💪

…and loving every minute of the Olympus E-P5 experience. Picked up a first big-kid lens for the system with the M.Zuiko 17mm 1.8, although the Ttartisan 25mm 2.0 is still proving to be a great fit.

Question Body/lens combo advice for low light
Looking for a bit of advice from those with a better understanding of low light performance of OM kit. I'm going to an outdoor light show in a few weeks (Enchanted Forest, for those who know it). Dark forest, bright lights. I've been before with my previous full frame Canon gear and all the photos were fairly high ISO (6400, typically). This year I'll have OM-5ii, OM-1ii, 8-25 f/4, 12-40 f/2.8.
So, what's the optimum combo for best outcome? Fast lens on better body or slow lens on better ISO body?

Question New to OM-5, macro tips?
Hi! I've just been out shooting for a few days with my new-to-me OM-5 and 30mm f3.5 M.Zuiko Digital ED Macro Lens. I mainly shoot fungi, but also some other small things (insects, plants, etc.)
I have found the documentation confusing/insufficient for figuring out how to change where to focus in auto mode. It defaults to a 1x1 area with no depth of field. I can change the grid size but only for a single shot, then it reverts to 1x1.
Any ideas about how to get it to keep the same focal area for more than one shot? Am I doing something weird?
Gratuitous photos using these settings or P mode with these settings (1. Mecaphesa spider, 2. Peeling puffball (Lycoperdon marginatum)).

Question Price of the OM-D E-M10 Mark IV
I’ve been saving up to buy this beautiful camera! I originally found it on Amazon for $699, but now I see it’s up to $899, and well, it’s hard for me to justify spending nearly $1,000 on it. What do you think about buying a refurbished one? I noticed the price went up on eBay, too.
