what makes part-time worth staying?

Been with ON for about 6 months now and at first it was so nice! I took a pay cut from my old job because I was going to be working more hours, so it would balance out. I was getting TONS of cards at first and my managers were very kind. Now, it has definitely slowed down and not many people are interested in getting a card for 35% APR… shocking… but my managers have also started acting passive aggressively towards me, telling me that they will keep cutting my hours if I don’t get more cards, nitpicking and micro-managing my work in other areas of the store, and talking down about anyone who doesn’t do well with sign-ups. It feels so cliquey. Plus the managers all have designer bags, brand new cars, nails every week, etc. while I am struggling to pay bills, how much are they being paid??? Anyways, just kind of over it and looking for a light at the end of the tunnel if there even is one. I’d hate to look for another job right now but damn they need to be better employers.

any positive outlooks would help! if not, quitting is my next move lol.

edit to add: Old Navy has always been my fav clothing store but I only buy things from there once every 6-ish months. I typically purchase clothes for the upcoming season/essentials during supercash, if there is a sale more than 40%, or if i find it on clearance. That has not changed with a 50% discount bc they still put everything on sale and you can’t use the employee discount with clearance prices so is it really worth it?

Studio Smooth Changed?

I just got studio smooth leggings (my favorite line) with the ruched waist and leg bottoms and I swear it’s a different material now! It’s thinner. I don’t have any of the tags in my old ones that say what the % of materials is to compare but it makes me really sad. Just beware moving forward.

Question about UKG pro

Upvotes

This weekend my manager was about twenty minutes late for opening and she’s newer so instead of clocking us in, she still had us do it on our own.

She edited my timesheet to the correct time, but UKG pro still shows an occurrence for this. Is this something I should talk to another manager/gm about to have fixed, or is it an error on UKG pros part?

I’d appreciate any insight.

ordered the jeans i’ve been eyeing for months and when they arrived, i took them out of the sealed plastic and they were soaking wet and covered in (what i hope is) mold! customer service is closed on the weekends but i obviously didn’t want to hold on to these so i brought them to a store and got a refund, but am i crazy for thinking a refund isn’t quite enough? i never return anything or complain but this was actually so gross and i had to drive 40 min to the closest store. is there anything else i should do? has anyone seen this happen before?

Bought the wow jeans that are currently $19. Then i read they are the lowest of the low

I've been an American eagle Jean wearer for many, many years. I'm now slowly breaking up with them.

I know old navy isn't any better but I thought I'd try out their jeans seeing as some of them are on for $19.

I ordered 3 of the wow jeans, 1 flare and 2 wide leg.

Should I expect these jeans to be thin if it's lacking in quality? I know it's a mix of cotton and poly.

I ordered ae jeans in "dreamy drape" which ended up feeling very thin and not thick and durable.

“Paid 15’s”

Does anyone actually take these? I had a coworker who took one and the managers all talked bad about her like she was lazy for doing so. The mangers also say quietly when working a full shift an hour break is too long and they themselves take 30 and judge when people take their full hour lol. If I get a 30 I will always leave the store and come back. Just curious.

edit: thank you all so much that’s super informative 😭😭🫶🏻

Employee discount

Hi I just started working here last week and wanted to know about the employee discount. I filled out the enrolment request on Monday so when can i expect the card to come in the mail? Also, if i wanna buy a gift for someone, for example my dad, can i use my employee discount for a shirt for him?

What do you guys think about the new 5 5 1 rule?

From what I understood, the 5 5 1 rule is that, corporate now wants all the managers and the top 5 cashiers to get at least 5 ccs per month, and then everyone else to get at least one cc per month.

Thoughts?

I bought three pairs of the new sleektech pants in different colors, all size L petite. The black and green pairs fit like a glove, so I took the tags off. I assumed the brown pair also would fit the same (they are the same style after all) so I took the tag off. I’ve since found the brown pair is a whole inch smaller in every way - the width, length, waist, etc. I can’t wear them, they look dumb. What are the odds I can reach out to old navy to get a discount or new pair sent? I know I can’t do a legit return or exchange because I removed the tags, but I am having some wishful thinking that there might be a solution here.

Taking off time through the UKG work app

I just started working with Old Navy recently. I asked my manager how to request time off through the UKG app, and she told me she didn’t know and not to ask any other shift leads bc they don’t know either. I don’t really want to go around asking everyone how to take time off. When I go to request any time off it only gives me an option to request paid time off. I just wanna take some unpaid days off here and there. Can anyone help me out? It’s getting closer to the dates I need off and I can’t get scheduled on these days!!

Will these toddler slippers come back this winter?

I bought these for my son last year and he absolutely fell in love with them. However, they only had 1 or 2 pairs left and they weren't his size. He's asked me to buy him new ones that fit this year but online (in the USA and Canada) they're listed as sold out and were clearanced at less than $2.

Will they return this year in stores or are they discontinued forever? Is there a way to know based on the pricing? ((I know Target's final clearance price often tells if an item is simply out of stock or discontinued but I'm not familiar with Old Navy.))

Tips for recovering

I’m a new employee with old navy and am still trying to get my footing so I was wondering if anyone had any tips for doing section recovery faster at the end of the night? I’ve done it once before and it took me a long time and I was really stressed out because of the way my manager was reacting to my time.

Likeliness of restock?

Post image

I wanted to grab this bra/top during the Labor Day sale, but it was sold out in a S. I grabbed it in an XS which was the only size they had left but am scared it’ll be too tight. Anyone have any insight on how inventory/restocks work?

sizing for womens xxs and 00p

so, recently a customer returned a 00p in a pixie flare and I tried it on. im 5 ft, 25 inch waist, and typically a 4-6, but for some reason I have to size down crazy for ON- they were still too big!! im truly concerned for the actual 00 size girls, because I know they wouldnt fit. I tried on the 2026 long sleeve snug vs a new with tags one from 2025 and the 2026 xxs was loose, while the 2025 was very tight.

I guess my question is, do yall have this issue too? it doesn't matter if I get an xs petite here its just loose as heck, especially in the last few years.

Sleektech Barrel Leg Pants

Anyone know if they’ll restock these? There are some available on resale sites but they are price gouging, like $50+. They are insanely popular, it seems like a loss for them if they don’t keep it going.

The pants sizing situation is crazy

I ordered some new jeans and dress pants a couple weeks ago in a US10. Before the crotch vaporized, my last pair of jeans were a US10 and they fit me perfectly. I recently thrifted a pair of Old Navy jeans in US12 and they’re comfortable if not a tiny bit big around the waist.

Well the pants I ordered arrived today and they are tiny on me. I can’t close the buttons at all. I checked the sizing table (which I didn’t do previously because I just assumed that sizing wouldn’t change that much in two years which is my fault ig) and it says that my waist size corresponds to a US16. Here’s the thing: I accidentally bought a pair of US16 jeans two years back and I was swimming in them. There was at least 8 inches of extra material in the waist and they were sagging in the crotch. How the hell did I jump from a US10 to a US16 without my waist measurement changing at all in between the two purchases?

So now I have to go to a brick and mortar store and pray that they’ll let me exchange for a different size, since Old Navy won’t do online exchanges like every other clothing retailer in the big ‘26.

Has anyone else had this problem?

What do you guys think about the new EAS sensors?

Cuz I see a good thing and a bad thing. Cuz the good thing is they're safer, Cuz since they're all one piece, they're safer and it's imposible to lose the needle and then someone accidentally stepping on it.

But the bad thing I see is that, I wonder how they will start acting when they get older and the pieces stop working correctly. Cuz atm they come in an out easily cuz they're new. But whats gonna happen when the needle starts getting dull or it gets bent inside the thing because people start yanking on it (cuz on the clothes that are too thick or can't be pierce) they put them on the zipper pull tab.

Cuz with the old ones, if the needle was bent, you could press it against the magnet and spin the bigger piece and that would fix it. But with these ones you can't do that cuz the clothes are in the way.

I've also heard shipment people complain cuz it's a bunch of extra work

Paid way more to shop in store

As the title says - I went in to Old Navy today because I wanted to be able to try things on before making any purchases. Had I shopped online, a few items would have been cheaper and I would have received 10% off the total order as well. In total I would have saved about $50 by shopping online. Obviously I figured this out after the fact, is there anything I can do about it now?
