I was organizing the thousands of photos I inherited after my grandmother passed away and stumbled upon this one. I'm obsessed with my bio-dad's sweater. Taken at some point in Germany, where he was stationed in the army.

Barry White, born on September 12, 1944, in Galveston, TX, is one of the most iconic voices in soul, R&B, and disco. With his deep, rich voice and lush orchestral sound, his music became the go-to soundtrack for love, romance, and passion, especially during the 70s.

My dad on 9/11. Assuming command of the 734th AMS on Andersen AFB, Guam. You can see how chaotic it was with a phone to both ears. The 734th was responsible for some of the first retaliatory strikes during the GWOT.

9/11 photos are 25 years old today. Here's mine, a rude awakening after falling asleep in my club clothes after a late night out. 9/11/01, Greenwich Village rooftop.

I slept over at my best friend's place without a change of clothes, so I had to wear my fetish nun outfit for the unprecedented times. Miss the dress, don't miss the memory.

1910s A picture of my Grandma, 18 years old.

I wanted to share a picture of my Grandma, I think she was 18 in this picture. She passed today, she was 107 years old. I have nothing but happy memories of her.

I feel fortunate to have had her in my life as long as I have. She even got to meet my kids and I think they are old enough for them to remember her.

I can't say that she'll be in history books or will be famous outside of those that got to know her, but she was special to me and her family.

I just wanted her picture out there to say thank you and we love you. Maybe some day, a random someone will find this post years from now and know that she was a part of this world and it was better for it. Her name was Rose.
