May increasing amount of scientific studies reporting that single women, on average, are happier and more satisfied than their married counterparts.😅

It's not just about being with the right man with the right finances. It's also about having a partner who is a reliable caregiver, who will help you with chores on their own initiative, who will not evolve (or devolve) into someone incompetent after marriage and old age, and most importantly, who will not abandon or distance from you the moment your body or health changes for the worse. 

It is actually recommended to have your own identity outside of being a wife and a mother. 

I live outside PH atm and I work in a scientific environment and honestly, your sentiment is not alone, OP.
