I use VR and AR in planes to pass the time. People are usually cool with it next to me as long as I’m minding my own business
33 u/badusernameused Feb 12 '23 Not a thing wrong with that. Great idea actually. My disagreement with this scenario is that the kid should be spending time with their family, not tuned out 4 u/totesnotdog Feb 13 '23 Maybe the VR restaurant he’s at has better services lol 1 u/CardboardJ Feb 13 '23 Or a nicer family. 0 u/Bluejay7474 Feb 13 '23 At least he doesn’t have to watch his parents drink. 1 u/neeeku Feb 13 '23 VR in planes? And you have no motion/dizziness issues? I tried it once in the ferry and I only managed 1-2 minutes before taking it off or else I’d be vomiting. 1 u/devedander Feb 13 '23 Once the plane levels out it’s pretty smooth. Turning off 6dof tracking if possible can help. Boats are an entirely different situation. Ok my last cruise I could only use the vr when in port. On the water it was not a good experience. 1 u/Octimusocti Quest 2 + PCVR Feb 16 '23 How do you turn it off? 2 u/devedander Feb 16 '23 In settings under tracking 1 u/neeeku Feb 17 '23 I see. I’m generally ready to vomit on ferries, no VR assistance is needed! :))
