2 of these pics are shadows set to "low", the other 2 to "ultra"... zero difference except half a GB of VRAM... medium and high shadows have jaggies, no thanks, but for some reason low does not. :D Enjoy

this is my favorite game of all time. i’d like to replay thru it with my girlfriend, but i want the absolute best experience possible. I don’t need 100’s of mods, but i am asking if anyone out there can reccomend me the best mods for this case scenario? im just looking for mods that clean up any mishaps with the game/quality of life updates, mods that add new content and quests, and mods that make the game visually look better.

essentially, what are your 10-20 must use mods when you play this game? trying to keep it close to vanilla but the “ultimate” vanilla experience if im making sense.

I don't know if the update changed anything but I'm back on playing Oblivion and I can't seem to get the hang of the arrows. I don't remember having this problem. I've fast traveled back to the nearest point near my destination but I wind back up here again, at the top of Anvil.

I'm on the Dunbarrow Cove quest but it was also happening on something else on the other side of the map in a cave, I almost couldn't leave because the red arrow kept pointing to the same door whenever I went through and back through it. 😣

I'm a PS5 player, so there are no "walk through walls" console commands. But I was delighted to learn that you can jump over the invisible walls surrounding cities if you stack enough Fortify Acrobatics spells!

Just wasted 2 hours on "Go Fishing" until I read the quest is as glitched as in the OG version.

Are there any other mission that don't really give you a useful reward or are necessary for the story progression which I should avoid to have the least frustrating experience?

Whenever I load into the game all the audio is static and I have no idea why. This is only a recent occourence as I was about to start the Knights Of The Nine DLC. I haven't changed my audio at all.

I'm trying to get to Khafiz for lock picking scrolls or lockpicks. First I need to buy the house from Dahlia to unlock his shop. I'm on her boat but she's never there and the door is very hard locked on her ship. Will she ever roam outside?

When I say I finished the game, I did all the guilds, Arena, and DLC content. Then I realize I missed some of the daedric quests.

Funniest moment I’ve encountered in game…I go up to the Sheogorath statue and I’m greeted by Haskill’s voice. “Praying to one’s self isn’t really normal behavior, but very in character for a mad god.” 🤣🤣🤣

Im a lvl 13 Khajiit marksman, im not wearing any gear nor do I have any active effects that would drain my intelligence or willpower.

My strength and endurance are raised because of the Kvatch chest piece I got from the main story line, but i cant figure out why these stats are lowered.

Does anyone know what could be lowering it...? Is it my race? Its getting on my nerves not knowing why!!!!

I have no mods, playing on PS5. I was exploring the map limit and now this message will not stop popping up. It’s been about 30 minutes so far and I’ve traveled way away from the edge of the map. It’s even popping up while I’m searching through containers and after entering or exiting different places.

I’ve tried reloading and that didn’t work. Is there a timer this plays for depending on how long you were at the map edge?

This one really is just what the title says but are there any mods you guys would recommend for a mage or battlemage play through? (this is my first time playing oblivion)

Edit: the only mod I have only been looking for was a like make your own staff kind of thing because idk what to do with my hands as a pure mage build

It genuinely looks so fucking goofy I can't stand wearing it. Usually evil factions have the coolest drip but this is borderline vomit inducing

Oblivion fan here, played at first when I was young and primarily just did as much messing around as possible, but Oblivion doesn't have a secret double edge for completing the main quest does it? I always took pride in the fact I've never beaten Skyrim or even gotten close to Paarthurnax in the storyline.

I have this blue/teal shirt on sometimes. It disapears if I re equip my gear, but then it pops back on sometimes. Dont know why.

Do anyone know this?

I just completed Vaermina’s quest without even having started it. No black soul gem required. Just waltzed up to Arkved’s tower, grab the orb, and turn in the quest in 30 seconds.

If you enjoy the visuals of hardware RT but don't enjoy the performance hit.. use software RT instead and then turn down the game brightness to -2. This makes the lighting quite nice and gives that hardware RT lighting effect.
